I swung my leg over the seat of my bike and unsnapped the helmet as my foot hit the ground. Placing the helmet on the seat, I looked up at Inn. I couldn't help but notice all it's character and admire the beauty of it. I ran a hand through my wavy ash brown locks and grabbed my duffel bag off the second seat. I noted the black Impala beside my bike and shrugged before making my way to the front door. Large cement vases stood on either side of the stairs to the door, and I noticed a symbol on one of them.

That looks like hoodoo, the voice rang in my head.

Shit. I hate witches.

Groaning mentally, I opened the door and asked nicely for a room. The owner gave me a strange look, and asked if I knew about the recent freak accidents.

"I am not scared, I'll be fine ma'am," I told her, she nodded her head and beckoned for the older man to show me to my room.

Just before I walked in, I noticed two men glancing at me. The shorter one hit the taller with the back of his hand and jerked his head at me. I turned to face them and waved with a smug look on my face, before entering my room.

Sigh. Men.

I tipped the man for carrying my stuff to my room and thanked him, he left and I turned to look in the mirror.

My hair reached just past my breast, so about 2/3 down my back. My green eyes stared back at me. I was wearing my usual attire, brown faded leather jacket with a knife in the lining, a plain dark grey t-shirt, my favourite skinny jeans, and my brown leather boots that came up to my knees. I think I looked badass, but I guess those guys thought it was more hot.

Dismissing the testosterone, I opened my duffel bag and pulled out my EMF reader to detect any supernatural presences. It was time to go exploring.

I scoured most of the building and didn't come across much but a few traces of EMF.

All of a sudden.

No hoodoo.

Are you sure? I asked.

Not recently.

Must be a spirit then. An old building like this, must have at least one spirit.

As I was crossing the main threshold, a little girl came running out past me, I smiled as I watched her go. Shortly after, another girl came running by, chasing the first.

The owner smiled at me, "That was Tyler, she has a crazy imagination that child."

I smiled kindly at her and nodded my head. How strange she did not mention the other child.

I ran up the stairs to go back to my room, I was halfway there when a scream came. I turned around and ran back to the stairs. Unfortunately, I ran into someone. Then someone else ran into the person I ran into.

"Sam! What the hell man! Why did you stop?" the shorter man from before said.

The taller one, Sam, held out his hand for me as I had fallen down, then he said, "I'm sorry Dean, the woman ran into me."

"Sorry," I apologized as I took Sam's hand and stood up, "I heard the scream and rushed out, which I guess you two heard as well."

"Yes we did," Sam confirmed.

Apparently, a repair man had fallen down the stairs and twisted his head around 180°. Definitely not normal. I overheard Sam and Dean saying they needed to talk to the owner.

I decided to follow them.

Except it didn't work out that way.

I woke up, feeling groggy and looking around. I was in the hotel still, and in my room. But I don't remember going to my room.

Seriously? I asked.

Yea.

Next time a heads up when I am on a case and following someone! I growled angrily.

They still think it is hoodoo, may as well let them learn something.

God, you're infuriating! Has anyone else died? I demanded.

Yes. A business man, hung himself on the curling fan with an extension bar.

I sighed. I could have stopped that.

Maybe.

Whatever, I grumbled.

I got off the bed and stormed over to the room beside mine and knocked on the door.

Dean opened the door, "Sorry sweetheart, now isn't a good time, my brother is here."

Oh. So they are brothers.

"Oh shove it, I'm here about you two morons thinking this is hoodoo. Obviously you are hunters. It is a spirit."

Hey, if you didn't have me, you too would think its voodoo.

Shut up!

"A spirit?" Dean repeated.

"It would explain it. Rose can't do hoodoo because of the stroke she had. And a vengeful spirit could easily do what has happened here," Sam thought a loud.

"Wait. You're a hunter?!" Dean exclaimed, his eyes roaming my body.

"God you're slow. Yes! Have been since I was 17."

"And how old are you?" Dean asked.

"21, 22 in October."

"How did you know it's not hoodoo?" Sam asked.

"I just knew," I lied.

"So how do we find this ghost?"

"Easy. It's that little girl. The one Tyler, the owner's daughter plays with. No one can see her," I pointed out.

Except me. And I almost didn't realize she was a ghost.

"Alright, let's find out who she is!" Dean exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "And don't get hurt lady."

"It's Tessa."

"It is nice to meet you Tessa," Sam said, holding his hand out for me to shake.

Okay! Hopefully this did not suck. Chapters will probably get longer depending on how I feel.
