I woke up to Emily crying, not screaming, but crying. I picked her up, and changed her diaper. Then I went downstairs and turned on the T.V. with Emily. She fell asleep in my arms. I eventually fell asleep and woke up to the smell of fresh bread. Emily was still asleep in my arms. I walked into the kitchen and Peeta walked up and kissed me.
"What do you want for breakfast? There are extra cheese buns." I licked my lips. Cheese buns are like the best food in the world! Especially when Peeta makes them. I found them in the fridge and warmed them up. Emily woke up crying, so I had to forget my food and feed her. I sat on the couch and started feeding her and Peeta came over and handed me my food and we sat and ate together.
When Emily was done, Peeta took her. He started playing with her and I started doing the dishes. Then we went out and checked on the garden outside. When we got back inside, there was a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Gale! "Hey Gale! Did she like the ring?" Gale nodded and I invited him in.
"So... It's been a while..." I say awkwardly. "Yeah." There was about a 5 minute silence until Gale spoke. "How's it going with Peeta?" Gale asked. "Good! I mean great! I mean, I did have a kid with him!" I say. "Did you girlfriend like the ring?" "Yes. I made it!" Gale said excitedly. "Really? That's cool. Peeta got me one out of the pearl he gave me at the arena." Just as I finished my sentence, Peeta walked downstairs with Emily in his arms. "Hi, Gale!" Peeta said. Gale smiled. Peeta looked at Emily. "Do you want to hold her? The doctors didn't want anyone holding her at the hospital for some reason." Gale nodded and Peeta handed her to him.
That's weird. I don't understand. Gale is not the sort of person that likes babies. "She's beautiful!" He said. I looked surprised. "I didn't think you were the kind of person that likes babies." I say, confused. "I only love her because she's yours." I blush. "And Peeta's. She has his eyes." Gale smiles. "Gale, are you staying for dinner?" Peeta asks from the kitchen. "I would but I'm going out for dinner." He explained. "Actually, I should be leaving now. You guys should come over for dinner soon!" He adds.
