[ alem rises up to appear on-screen, looking mildly annoyed as he dusts off his sleeves. ]

[ nyx rises next, looking both proud and excited. alem's annoyance seems to grow. ]
i finished up my studies and i practiced law
i practiced law, burr worked next door
[ nyx, seemingly oblivious to alem's annoyance with them, waves to the older man next to them. alem turns away, which makes nyx eye him in confusion. ]
even though we started at the verysame time
[ nyx shrugs, realizing that alem isn't going to acknowledge their existence as they turn their attention away from him at last. ]

[ alem watches as nyx leaves up the stairs to enter the university. ]

[ the camera turns downward, transitioning to alem and nyx's classroom, the two sitting next to eachother as the teacher lectures up front until nyx suddenly interrupts them. ]

[ that catches even more of the students' attention, particularly the ones sitting in the back, who eye nyx as if they've grown a second head. ]
