Quick A/N: This chapter is just a little Seddie chapter. Basically, Sam and Freddie talking about their weird undefinable thing. I'm planting seeds for Seddie. They are everywhere.
_____________________Sam's POV
I was a few feet behind Mrs. Benson when she got hit with paintball. I almost wanted to laugh but didn't. I had been planning on just asking Carly to come talk to me. Now I was on guard for Spencer. "Oh. I'm sorry." Spencer muttered and it sounded like his guard was down. Maybe I could get him while his guard was down.
However, my course of thoughts went down the drain with Carly's next question. "What happened to the flowers?" I remember watching Mrs. Benson beat them with a mallet. What a freak!
"I soaked them in bleach and pounded them with a mallet."
Huh. So that's what the bleach smell was. Well I guess that was one mystery solved. That didn't matter though, this conversation was clearly uncomfortable. "Hey, Carls! Can we talk? It's important." Carly quickly walked out of Freddie's room and pulled me out of the Bensons' apartment.
"What's up, Sam?"
"Well, remember the Dingo Princess thing we used to talk about as kids?"
"Yeah, of course."
"Maybe it's better off left in the fairytales."
"Sam, do you want to tell me something?" I knew I should have told her right then. But I didn't. Instead I just shrugged my shoulders and grabbed a fat cake out of my sweater pocket. "I switched to low fat fat cakes?" She just rolled her eyes and went into her apartment. I went home. I refused to be at Carly's when she was all boy-obsessed. She hated when she was talking and I got distracted for even a fraction of a second. I couldn't risk Spencer winning because Carly's Dingo Princess fantasy come true.
Maybe I just didn't want to hear Carly obsess over Freddie. Is that possible?
Well anyways, I spent most of my day at the park on a swing. It reminded me of a simpler time. I saw parents with children giving me dirty looks all day but I didn't care. I, especially, didn't care because I didn't leave til well after dark. When I got home my mom had company. Which typically meant find somewhere else to go or hide in your room. Since we started our game of Assassins, I usually chose the latter. I would sneak downstairs late at night and eat though. After all, Mama's gotta eat. Tonight I didn't really feel like going in my room. I knew as soon as I laid down I would need to scream. I knew screaming into my pillow wouldn't be enough. So what use would me being in my room do?
I started walking to Bushwell Plaza.
Freddie's POV
I woke up to someone calling my phone. I looked at the bedside clock. Who would call me at 11PM? I looked at my phone to see the caller ID said.
Princess Puckett
Sam never calls me. Wait since when was she in my phone as Princess Puckett? I guess I had to answer to get to the bottom of that. I answered the phone. "Sammy... what's up?" I know Sammy was a nickname reserved for her family but every once in awhile I would say it. Most times she would pretend not to notice.
"I'm surprised you answered."
"Why are you up so late?"
"Well, I hung out by myself today so I just kinda stayed out late."
"And you called me because?"
"My mom has gentleman company."
"Why can't you stay with Carly?"
