Agitation. Aspiration. Vulnerability. Exasperation. Every sentiment could be felt in the Royal Temple. The ritual had been going on for hours, but there seemed to be no outcome still. They knew that if, at the end of the ritual, nothing happened, the kings would snap. And that wouldn't end well for sure.

They could only hope that the goddess had some mercy on them. This ritual was their only hope now. Everyone prayed with all their hearts, calling out for their Queen.

KING AZAZEL'S POV:

Waiting. That's what we had been doing until now. First for our mate. Now for the ritual to come to an end. I just hope we get our mate. Did our mate die? Get married to another? Get abducted? If not, then I don't know why we still couldn't find them.

'Can't you calm your horses, man? If not, I'll gladly help you. So stop talking about MY mate like that. They are surely alive AND not with anyone else, and we are gonna find them. So kindly shut the duck up.' Chided Ash, my beast. Yeah, so kind. Note the sarcasm with the most required eye roll.

'That's OUR. Not yours. And please enlighten me, why haven't we still found them?' I inquired, raising an eyebrow.

'Simple because you're a dickhead, and our mate wants someone smart like me.' Ash replied proudly, puffing his chest out.

'Yeah smart. My ass. You do remember that the last time you used your brain was years ago, and that too for peeling a banana off, and even peeling it, you just ate its cover instead of the banana, right?' I asked, remembering the oddly amusing event. After doing that, he just gave me control and ran off to the back of my mind, weeping and blushing out of embarrassment.

'I don't blush, you damn imbecile. And I didn't run off. I just remembered an important work, so I left, OK.' He tried to justify himself.

'Oh? Please do tell me what the important work was? Brushing your hairs? Scratching the back of your ears? Or sh-' I was very 'rudely' interrupted by Ash.

'SHUT. UP. RIGHT. THERE.' Ok enough for today.

AUTHOR'S POV:

This is it. The last step of the ritual. Everyone held their breath as the old witch asked the kings for their blood. Nobody ever had the courage to ask for it. The kings, being the strongest, never shed even a drop of blood. If someone had asked for it in any other circumstances, the kings would have given them the taste of hell. But right now, it's for the sake of their Queen, so they most willingly gave their blood.

Martha collected their blood in an ancient glass, made and enchanted with the most pure and divine potions. The glass was placed on the hand of the sculpture of the goddess. The witch mumbled some chants and mantras, then stepped back, gazing at the statue.

Everyone stared at the sculpture hopefully, but after minutes, nothing happened. Five minutes went by, still nothing. As time went on, the kings started to emit such a dark aura that gave everybody chills down their spine. Dark clouds surrounded the castle, rumbling with such power that the land vibrated. The kings were getting murderous. This is the end of them.

Everyone could clearly hear their hearts banging against their rib cage. They were counting their last breaths. The new Queen of vampires, writing her last will with magic, stating that if someone found her treasures in the future, they should keep her a portion in case she rebirths and remembers the past life. An elf, out of fear, jumped on a pixie who, in return, slapped him and ran into her mate's arms. The mate kicked the elf's ass, making him stumble upon an omega boy, accidentally kissing him. Both blushed. The elf king, along with a demon and dragon watching them both, shook their heads, looking at each other. A witch, upon seeing them, kissed another witch, earning herself a curse which left her mouth sealed.

Akhash, Ograx, and Ash whimpered and growled, calling out for their mate in pure agony. Living without one's mate is pure torture, and being kings, it's 10 times worse for them to live without theirs. Just as the kings were about to lose control, the sculpture of the goddess began glowing. Everyone watched in pure astonishment and awe as the statue morphed into a living being and moved her lips to talk in a melodious and soft voice.

"My children, I'm very pleased with your dedication to your mate. You waited for your other half for centuries and didn't let yourself get impure. Even after not knowing if your mate is alive or not, you still remained faithful. I really adore your patience. But now your wait is over. It's time for you to get your mate.

She's from another world, ready to leave everything behind for her mates. Sensing your and your beast's loneliness and pain, she's coming to your world. Take care of her. Cherish your mate as she's everything you would ever need and even more. Bless you, my children." Saying that, the goddess again turned into a sculpture.

The cup in the hands of the goddess burst, and the blood became a ball of light, which converted into a beautiful angel covered in a white silk cloth. Everyone bowed and kept their eyes down, knowing very well if they saw this angel, their Queen like this, they would await nothing but the most painful death.

Slowly falling down, the angel fell directly into the awaited arms of the kings, the Sleeping Beauty pouted and snuggled more in their arms, unaware of the mad love along with the possessive growing in her mates' hearts. The kings still in a daze and disbelief teleported themselves to their chambers and put their sleeping angel gently on the bed.

Their beasts too were oddly silent today, silently ogling at their beautiful and dainty mate, sleeping peacefully. They were already whipped. They too lay next to their Queen gently tucking her into their strong, muscular arms, touching and sniffing her natural lavender scent and scenting her. In their daze, the only thing they said before dozing off was a dark and possessive yet filled with the utmost love... MATE.
