"You are been fired, Ms. Lee Sohyan"

The owner of the cafe i had been working for the past years yelled at me. "Sir, i really need this job. I will be careful from next time, i beg you. Please don't fire me" i said literally pleading in front of him.

But all this heartless person did was threw my way, the payment of the couple days i worked this month. And called on security who pulled me out of the cafe.

The whole time, i begged to him and apologized for the mistake which i never even committed. My vision was blurry because of the tears filled in my eyes, as i started walking down the street.

The only source of income i had was snatched away from me. How worse could my life get, since childhood all i had faced were hardships. Financial issue, family issues, mental issues my whole life seemed just to be a huge issue.

Wiping off my tears i thought of walking along the Han river to refresh my mind. It was almost sun set, i was strolling by the river as the cool breeze flowed past me.

Taking in the beautiful view, yet my mind was clouded with the fear of what i was going to do ahead, how was i going to manage to meet my needs. My semester fees were also pending and i couldn't even expect anyone to help me.

My life was sinking down right in front of me and i had nothing to do. I was lost in my thoughts when my cellphone vibrated with couple notifications, i was not in the state to answer it but as i checked on who it was, just to find my only best friend. So i thought of replying him.

After texting him, i started walking down the lane to my apartment, which was not mine. It was owned by my uncle and i had to pay him a fixed amount every month as rent.

I know i said i had no family, well i have an uncle and aunt but they are worst then family. After all the drama my mom dad did i stayed at my uncle's place until i turned 16, later on getting frustrated by my aunts daily mental torture i decided to live alone.

But i needed a place to stay, when they allowed me to use their old apartment on rent. As it would create a new source of income for them. The apartment was in such a worst condition but i managed as it was just me. At the age of 18 fighting to meet the ends and get good education.

I was now near my residential area when i spotted Hobi from a far distance. It was dark but he was just below the only working streetlight. He was standing there holding a huge bag which seemed to be filled with snacks and drinks, and who wouldn't spot his bright, warm smile. That's why i call him Sunshine.

I increased my pace, waving to him as he waved me back. As i got close to him, my heavy heart was not able to hold the pain as i broke into tears. I was infront of him sobbing, as he dropped the bag of snacks and wrapped his arms around me. It felt comforting, he was the only shoulder i had to cry out my pain onto.

"We will soon find a new job for you, don't worry and about the semester fees i am paying it off" Hobi who was sitting next to me on my damp and super uncomfortable bed while i had just stopped crying. Resting my head on his shoulder i was munching on the snacks he bought sipping on the beer.

I glanced at him, sniffing as i had cried a lot... "I know, and thanks for being there" i spoke while i grabbed him by his arm playfully pulling him closer. "Come on, you don't need to thank. Even you have always been there for me" he replied slightly pinching my nose, which he used to do just for fun.

"I will leave, even i have work tomorrow" Hobi said while he got out of my grip and gulped down his glass of beer. He seemed to be completely tipsy, and i didn't think it was good for him to leave my house in this state.

"Just stay here tonight" i took hold of the corner of his hoodies sleeve. As he turned to me, his nose and ears had turned red. To make it more convincing i looked at him with my puppy eyes which was enough to change his mind. Hobi dropped down lying beside me as i was still sitting.

"Then sleep, i am very exhausted" he said as he took all the snacks off the bed and pulled me close to me, while he tucked on the comforter over us. I was sleeping back facing him while he wrapped his arms around my waist. This was not new to me, we were best friends. I mean really close to eachother.

The only thing which kept us apart was, he was a ten years bigger than me. Yes, i was just eight when i met him. We went to the same school, and once some elderly students were troubling me, he came to my rescue after which he became my friend and over years and years we really became best buddies. Ten years of friendship not that long, but a special one for me.

He cares for me as a little sister and was with be in those days when i would just walk out of my house getting tired of my parent's quarrels or get thrown out of the house by my uncle aunt. Hobi was the one to stay, comfort me and always motivate me by his words.

I took his hand in mine and turned to face him just see Hobi peacefully sleeping, his one look was enough to get a smile on my face. Gazing at him i didn't even remember when i passed out and fell asleep.
