Chapter 13

I woke up the next morning in Excitement because it was my 17th birthday I got so many texts from my friends and family including miles.

Miles had texted me a long thing and I mean long like 4 page essay it was really sweet and I literally cried.

I was in a over sized sweater that hung low over my booty and I was comfortable.

I ran out of bed and went into zig room I got right in front of his face and screamed "ITS MY BIRTHDAY" he fell off the bed.

"Omg Maya you scared me and happy birthday, close your eyes I have to get your present"

I put my hands over my eyes and waited like I was playing hiding seek

"Ok I'm coming towards you with it"

"Ok ahha" I said.

"Open your eyes matlin"

I opened my eyes and seen a really pretty light coral Bracelet it was pink and had pretty hearts, it was kinda like this necklace I seen at the store when I went shopping with my mom I seen it and I needed to have it but I couldn't afford it.

"Zig omg thank you so much, it almost look like this necklace I want, but thank you"

I hugged him so tightly and got up and started doing a happy dance, I looked at him and he stared at me in a smile he kept smiling at me I was blushing so much it didn't even make any sense.

"Well I'm really hungry how about you" I said.

"Yea I already made us food btw and your mom and dad left for work"

"Awh"

"They left you something on the counter downstairs

My eyes got big I ran downstairs with zig following me behind.

I seen this card I opened it and read it.

I started crying so much it didn't even make any sense I felt arms wrap around me as soon as I even sniffed and I felt safe and warm.

I cried so much as the door bell rang

"I'll be right back ok Maya, look at me everything is gonna be ok" zig said.

Zig walked over to the door and opened it and seen miles I was on the floor useless and I felt weak like I couldn't take it anymore I knew my parents fought I heard them sometimes but I didn't know it would come to this point and time.

Miles ran straight up to me and started rocking me back and fourth as he held me I was still sniffling.

"It's gonna be ok baby don't worry" miles said.

I started wiping my eyes i felt the need that I wanted to keep crying and crying but I also knew it wasn't gonna help.

"Maya I'm so sorry if you wanna talk to me I'm here ok" zig said.

Miles looked at zig with a glare and I got up from the floor and changed the subject.

"Um can we eat"

This was the worst start of my birthday I wish my mom told me when it wasn't my birthday, I walked over to the seat and picked up a pancake on the plate a fork and started eating I didn't say anything to them miles sat next to me and zig sat across from me miles had tapped my shoulder and I screamed at him saying "WHAT"!!

It was a silence

"Miles I'm so sorry, it's just.."

"It's ok but look I forgot to give you your present"

I looked down at him he was holding a black box kinda shaped into a glasses box, it wasn't a box you buy from Walmart of target.

"Here it's the necklace you wanted when we seen it in the store and I knew you wanted it but couldn't afford it so here"

I opened the box and admired this necklace, it was the one I was telling zig about and by the look of his face he knew that was the one I wanted.

"Miles it - it's so beautiful I can't explain how thankful I am, it will even match the pink coral bracelet zig got me"

"zig got you something, wow that's a first" miles said.

"I saved up for that rich boy I wanted to get her something she liked and I know she liked pink"

"Guys stop, and I just wanna say I love you guys so much and thank you for making my birthday good"

The boys both hugged me and I realized that I had to go get my dress for my party later I ran upstairs without giving them warning I went to my closet and started picking clothes.

"Be down there in a lil guys"

"Ok" they both yelled

Miles and zig seemed like they were getting along and I was happy about that.

I picked out a white crop top and a black skater skirt with my high top converse, I oh my hair into a bun and my eyeliner and mascara on.

I walked to my bathroom and brushed my teeth I just remembered I was talking to them face to face I hoped my breath didn't stink, I walked back down stairs seeing the boys waiting.

Zig looked me up and down I got kinda afraid of what miles would do to him because miles is pretty crazy when it comes to me.

"Come on guys we have to go pick up my dress"

"Tris and chewy are gonna meet us back here before we leave to the party and the limo is gonna be here to" zig said.

"Why you acting like you know what suppose to happen" miles said.

"Because I'm the one that set everything up rich boy and be amazed to what comes your way at the party I set up for little ol Maya she'll love it" he winked at me and started walking out the door to the car.

"Wtf Maya" miles said.

"What, stop getting so mad, zig did a really sweet thing and set a party up for me which probably cost so much so calm down and let's go"

Miles just huffed and walked away leaving me to walk behind him, I got my keys and started driving to the dress place where I got my dress.

It's already there and I already bought it I just have to come pick it up.

I got out the car same with miles and zig we walked into the store it was called "Brits dresses" she had really nice dresses mines was 100$ which is really good because some dresses are like 500 which is a no no for me.

I walked in first and went up to the cashier and explained everything to her.

ZIG POV

Maya looked so happy And that made me happy I was so excited to see her in her dress being all cute.

"Stop looking at her like that" miles said.

"Oh sorry she's just so damn hot I couldn't help myself" zig said.

"Ok look I know your trying to help Maya but she doesn't need you get out of her life you caused so many problems in her life mines and basically everybody else's just go leave nobody wants you just like what you said to cam go away zig"

I was so upset because miles didn't have to bring cam into this I was already guilty enough and he just shoots it back at me.

I left the store not saying a word to him nor Maya I was really hurt and just wanted to kill miles but I wanted Maya to be happy and I wasn't gonna mess it up for her
