Mirandas POV
Sam really has become my favorite colleague. He is super nice, funny and very enthusiastic. If only every man was like him. Jaalib, my long-distance boyfriend from Florida is nothing like him - unfortunately. Somehow I fell in love with him but since I have known Sam I realised that Jaalib is pretty self-orientated and probably does not care about me at all. Nevertheless I cannot go through another break up, ending things with Juan was hard enough already, as I always thought of him as the love of my life. As it turned out he was not, but realise that as a stupid and naive 15-year-old girl who is in love. On the other hand, Jaalib makes me sick too and actually I have been feeling a little bit attracted to someone very familiar."God that Italian." was my first thought after I spent the first day working with him. Correct, I am talking about the handsome Simone from Milan, black hair, black beard, beautiful dark eyes and his lovely italian accent. We already exchanged numbers and he even texted me first, I am so ready to ask him out and I can already see my future in his eyes. In a beautiful apartment, in the beautiful Milan, drinking wine after our two kids fell asleep, watching the sunset... I know it sounds crazy but even though I am only 17 years old, I love to imagine what my future could look like and I believe I am ready for something real, someone I can commit my life to. I have always felt older and more mature than girls my age, it could be because I lost my father at an early age, my mother was working a lot and my half siblings Sylvie and Mitch both live out of town with their families. Due to all this, I was able to take care of myself and take many responsibilities when I was still very young. Maybe this is the reason why I feel and act like an adult already.
Well, but to be honest in those last few weeks I actually wished to be attracted to Sam as he is such a sweet person but I just do not feel a thing, so he will definitely just stay my friend, but God, that Italian."Helloo beautiful, how are you doing today? Got the late shift?"
"Hi Sam, I'm okay I guess, how about you? Yeah unfortunately I have to work late today."
"I'm alright, thank you. Is something wrong? You don't sound too well."
"Oh nevermind, I'm fine."
"Oh come on honey, you know you can talk to me, right?"
"Yeah I know, thank you Sam."
"You are very welcome. If you change your mind you know where to find me, alright?"
"Yes I do - oh, hi Simone"
"Ciao, you alright?"
"Not really, I've been feeling kind of depressed lately. How are you doing?
"Oh yeah I've been there, I'm fine."
"Well but I guess I just have to deal with it."
"Yeah, probably. Anyway I should get to work."
"Okay, talk to you later Simo."
"Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation, are you sure you don't need someone to talk to? You know, I have had these feelings too so I can relate pretty well and also I'm a really good listener."
"Thanks a lot but I don't really feel like talking to anyone right now. See you later."
"Okay I obviously respect that. Feel better okay?"

I hope you enjoyed that second chapter!
(I hope it got clear during the last conversation between her and Sam and her and Simone that Sam actually cares about her problems but she is not really trying to start a conversation with him and tries to talk about her feelings to Simone, although he does not care about her at all, but she is still falling for him.)
