You're awake, you're breathing, you're alive. That realization hits you thankfully before you open your eyes or move a single muscle in order to get a sense of your surroundings. To your surprise, you're not tied up, you're in an actually pretty comfy chair, and as far as you could tell there's only one other person in the room... until there were two. "You can stop pretending to be asleep now." You here from what sounds like a small child... a little girl... Elise. Your eyes shoot open out of pure fear at what this little girl could do to you at close range. But as fast as your eyes opened, Elise was back at Mori's side, sitting on the desk he was leaning against about 10 feet away, directly in front of you. As your eyes met the doctor's sinister stare, he began to speak.Meanwhile, outside of Ogai's office, the fiery pair that you'd met the night before were standing on each side of the office doors, quiet as mice, straining their ears to find out what punishment lie before you. "What do you think I'm going to have to do to her to get her talk?" Dazai asked, staring at the ground, a menacing smile starting to spread across his face. A twinge of unease ran through Chuuya as he responded, "First why don't you let the boss decide what he wants with her before you go fantasizing Mackerel?" "Aww don't be jealous Chuuya, you're welcome to join us. It'd be fun having you there." Dazai replied. "Thanks but I'll pass this time round old snake." Chuuya says, the unease settling in the pit of his stomach. "Suit yourself, just thought I'd invite you since you were the one flirting with her earlier." Dazai says nonchalantly, passing a glance towards Chuuya to see his reaction.
A tint of pink covers the red head's cheeks for half a second before he responds, "I was not flir-" Chuuya's cut off by the sound of Ogai's door opening. Expecting to see Mori, the boys stand at attention, but to their surprise you were standing in the doorway, your stature dwarfed even more by the large doors in front of the two men, well at least Dazai. A smirk spread across your face as you lean against the door frame, arms crossed. "I think the boss wants to see you two... as soon as your done gawking." You say, noticing their shocked expressions.
They fix their faces and walk through the doorway. "Boys, do come in." Mori says, sitting behind his desk. You shut the doors behind you and lean against them, facing the three men. "I've decided that miss Y/N will be becoming an executive member of the port mafia." They look to each other before Dazai coughs up, "But boss she-" "She is a member of the mafia same as the both of you and will be treated with the appropriate respect. Am I clear?" "Yes sir." They pipe up in unison.
"Very well," Mori sighs, "Then she will join you both and is affectively the newest member of double black... or triple black now I suppose. I'm confident her skills will be quite useful and you'll make a lovely team." He grins. "Show her to her quarters and look after her. Should I find even a hair on her head misplaced... I'm sure Elise will have fun playing with the both of you, understood?" "Yes sir." Unison again, unease in both voices. With the wave of a hand the men turn towards you and exit the boss's office, you in tow.
The walk to what you assume to be your quarters is long, given the size of the building the port mafia headquarters is housed in, and silent. Neither of the two have said a word since you left the office. You wanted their thoughts on the matter at hand but figured curiosity killed the cat... especially in this business. Then again, you do have Mori's protection...maybe just one question won't hur- "So," Chuuya starts. "What could you possibly have said to the boss to become, not only a mafia member, but an executive? All in a matter of hours?"You didn't know what to say... 'I'm from a universe where you're all fictional and I know both the plot of your story and all of your backstories? On top of that I know what's going to eventually happen to all of you in the future?' They'd throw you in the looney bin for sure. As if smelling the fear on you they both turn to look at you, waiting for a response. You opt for cocky silence as you plaster a smirk to your face and turn to face the floor to ceiling windows lining the hall as the three of you continue walking. "The silent type huh?" Dazai sighed, and in an instant he was suddenly pinning you to the door that you three had come to at the end of the hall.
With one hand gripping your hands above your head, he used the other to grip your face, forcing you to meet his gaze. He leans even closer, placing a knee between your thighs, making you feel even more trapped and helpless as he towered over you. "The silent types are my favorite." He whispered into your ear, lips grazing your lobe. A dark blush covered your face to the point you thought you could die from the heat. You were grateful when Chuuya piped up, "Remember what the boss said you idiot. I'm not getting tortured by his brat because of you. Let her go and let's get going."
Dazai stood there a moment more, eyes piercing your very soul, scanning, examining every last one of your features. All you could do was lower gaze as much as possible as you knew better than to provoke him. Eventually, he let go and backed up to stand beside the red head, "Fine," he said. I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to get to know each other later." Still standing against the door, using all your strength to keep your legs from buckling, you stared at the men as Chuuya spoke and threw something your way. "Here's your key, enjoy your digs and rest up, work starts tomorrow...partner." He said the last bit with a hint of a smirk, but a menacing one.
As they turned and started walking back down the hall you were quick to unlock the door and hurry inside. Eager to be behind locked doors for a (even if it was false) sense of security. As you closed the door behind you your legs finally gave out and you slid to the floor. Knees curled to your chest, you closed your eyes and rested your head on them as you tried to calm your now racing heart and mind. You need to figure things out fast. Proving yourself useful to the Port Mafia was the only way you were going to stay alive in this world and you planned to keep it that way.
