After the tension between Yuqi and Soyeon died down, Yuqi wanted to approach the situation again in a milder tone.

"But wouldn't it just be fine if they hid it, nobody would know.. you know?"
Yuqi asked.

"Hide it? Hide it?! How do you think they'll hide it?? We'd have to hide it from cube! Our own company. Besides secrets always come out."

Yuqi knew that deep down Soyeon was right.

"But imagine right, imagine if they'd only do close intimate couple stuff at the dorms.. and then act like
close clingy members infront of cube staff and fans. Because they're the same sex even if they went on a date, people would just assume they're friends... I get your fear but also imagine how hard it is to prove they're a couple and not just close friends."

Yuqi said.
(Lowkey spitting facts tho I've thought about it before and same sex couples would be so hard to prove in the kpop industry)

"Look as a leader i prefer to not take any risks even if they're small Yuqi, I've worked so hard to make us be as respected as we currently are, so even the slightest risk terrifies me i don't want to make the wrong decision and let them date, get exposed and ruin all of your careers just because I let them date."
Soyeon responded.

"But the chance is soooo small though!!!"
Yuqi said quickly.
she started getting annoyed at Soyeon for making such a huge deal about such a small chance.

"Yuqi would you put your most expensive prized possession in a town known for not stealing but having its bad apples, for as long as a year and not worry about that 1% stealing it?"

"Would you put something you love so dearly, in such a sensitive environment where it can get absolutely destroyed, just because the chance of it getting destroyed is "small?"

"You want it to be as safe as it can be Yuqi and right now you're trying to be right and be like, they should date bla bla bla, only cause it's the positive answer but not the smartest or most logical one, I've told them i prefer for them to break up and it's up to them to decide."

Soyeon said.

Yuqi was left kinda speechless cause what Soyeon said was true.

"But what would you do if they won't stop dating will continue "risking" our career and stop listening to you?"

Yuqi asked.

"Then I'd report them to our cube higher ups"
Soyeon said with no expression.

"WHAT?"
Yuqi yelled a little too loud.

"I don't want them to get kicked out or anything I'd just tell the higher ups and scare them into breaking up. I know I seem like the villain but they will thank me later when they don't have to hide in their houses as ex-idols. This is something leaders have to do, be the bad guy because they're too blinded to currently see that I mean well"

Soyeon said. She was very clear on her views and did not hesitate with anything she'd said.

"Well im getting a little tired now.. for me it's not that deep and I don't understand taking such extreme measures about something that's so small, like what? are you not gonna go outside cause of that one procent of getting hit by a car and get killed?"

Yuqi said.

"Compare it more to walking down the street wearing a hit me shirt and having that one guy that will hit you, Yuqi the chance of getting hit/caught is way higher then you think."

Soyeon said.

At this point Yuqi got annoyed, stood up and left the room.  Yuqi wanted to tell the 2 what type of situation they're in, so was thinking about who to talk to. Either Shuhua or Soojin. She decided with Soojin she felt like Soojin could take bad news well.
