Allison is standing behind Gerard, Scott is sitting in front of him while, I am standing by the door. I have my arms crossed playing with the necklace Deaton gave me. So far Gerard hasn't said why he wanted me here and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Allison and Scott are updating him on everything that has been going on.

"They found a third body?"

"Another doctor, right after Scott found Deaton." Allison says sharply. In a no nonsense kind of tone. Scott is rubbing his hand trying to relieve some of the pain he felt from taking Gerard's.

"Right after? Almost like it was expected he'd survive." Gerard looks over his shoulder speaking to Allison. Towards the end of his sentence he is looking at Scott.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"How do you know your dark druid isn't your wise veterinarian himself?" As he speaks he is wiping his hands of the black blood that is coming out of his body. Disgusting. "Maybe he knew you'd find him. Maybe he planned it that way." Allison and Scott both look to each other in confusion, like the thought never crossed their mind. Mind games. This man just plays mind games. But as quickly as they looked at each other Scott defends him.

"He would never let anyone innocent die."

"Don't be so sure. You'd be surprised how far some people would go to get rid of someone like Deucalion." I don't like how he said his name. Gave me the chills. He's worse than Deucalion. The way he talks and looks at everyone it makes all the hair on my body stand.

I really shouldn't be here, I don't belong here.

"Or someone like you?" Allison doesn't even budge. She has her arms crossed and looks completely done with this conversation.

"I don't go easily, though, do I?" Ugh vomit he spits into a napkin and a bit of blood sprays. I look at Allison and she gives me the same look. "You know, Scott, you've made me something of a celebrity here. I'm a medical mystery. The cancer is now virtually undetectable, but the doctors have no clue why my body keeps producing and ejecting this bizarre black fluid." He swipes his mouth and nose aggressively and then throws the napkin to the ground. That's just unsanitary.

"I did what you wanted me to do. Tell us how to beat him."

"You can't. I've tried."

"Then this is a complete waste of time. He doesn't know anything. Sorry you did this. Let's go." Allison gets up and walks towards the door.

"Wait. I can tell you one thing." Allison doesn't turn around but has a smug look in her eyes. She looks at me as if this was her plan like she knew threatening to walk away would get Gerard talking. God damn mind games.

"Deucalion may have lost his eyes, but he's not always blind. Plus, don't you want to know why I wanted dear Cassandra here." I freeze. He look towards me with a smug look in his eye. No I was fine with not being acknowledge. Gerard begins telling the story of he first met Deucalion.

"They were all there. Ennis, Kali, Deucalion each with their own packs before they killed them all and decided to form their little all star team."

"But they didn't all live here, did they?" Allison has pulled up a chair and is sitting next to Scott. I haven't moved from the door and I don't plan too.

"No, but there was an exceptionally powerful Alpha who did live here. She had a capacity to shape-shift that was rare among her kind. That made her something of a leader, the kind of person that they would go to for advice and guidance... Talia Hale."

Gerard explains how a beta from one of the packs killed two hunters and how him and Allison's dad went after him. While they were looking for the beta they found the nemeton.
