Chapter one : Colors

I love colors. I dream of them ever day. I see them as I walk out side or through my small town in Germany. I have dyslexia, and colors are the only way in which I can really express my feelings. I love the outdoors, with its green trees and beautiful blue skies. I feel like this should always be my home.
I am a bit blind but I can still see things. My parents that adopted me had said that they don't have enough money to buy glasses for me. My mother had said, "glasses won't help you at all. They're too expensive and it won't improve your reading skills."
I strongly disagree.

Colors are everywhere. They express what things are. They show ones emotion. Yellow, for example, is the color of the sun, but it also shows how we are feeling. Right now, I feel yellow, meaning I feel happy in my own way, with a big smile on my face. Other days, I could feel black. I'd feel as though I'd want to stay in my room forever.

But that never happens.
