At A Certain Time

Chapter 1

"Congratulations graduates of Senior High school , may you achieve all your goals in life. Your Mariano G. Medalla Integrated School family are so proud of you."

Another chapter closes and a new one to open . Masyadong mabilis yung panahon , time really flies at kailangan nating sumabay sa sa takbo nito.

"Yllanna , Congratulations love you did well sa speech mo kanina . Sobrang proud kami ng daddy mo sayo."

" Thanks mom , pano ba yan college na mawawalay na ako sa inyo nito."

" Are you really sure you'll take Legal Management love? Pwede ka naman mag Pol Sci para dito ka na lang sa bahay."

"Dy napagusapan na natin to and from the start I clarify this sa inyo diba. I want to take Legal Management at isa pa you know my dream school."

Being in college you'll really take risk , you need to open up to the world and at some point learn to be independent in life. Nakakatakot sino ba namang hindi diba but it's part of growing up and building your individuality as a person.

" Ok fine just don't forget that you have us, andito lang kami palagi para sayo."

After all the dramas and celebration I head straight sa banyo to clean up . Wala namang ganap talaga kanina kainan lang and a little conversation regarding to our college life and what are our plans.

Sa aming pamilya on my father's side ako lng talaga ang nag iisang babae sa magpipinsan , I'm the only child as well while on my mom's side she's the bread winner and she's like passing that responsibility to me as well . She will always say na tulungan mo mga pinsan mo kasi mas maayos buhay mo or things like binibigay sayo lahat kung may sobra ibahagi mo.

After I finish my half bath I proceed on cleaning my face and basically do my evening routine. Before I got back to bed I prepare myself a cup of ice coffee and ready the book I'm reading. My night isn't complete pag walang kape , I got used to it since Im staying late at night.

Before reading I decided to open my social media accounts , my cousins already posted photos from earlier and saying their congratulations to me as well as their friends. I also commented my thank you and didn't bother to reply all of it sila kuya na lang bahala dun. I posted as well and check my messages.

"Yanna , ano kamusta yung application mo?"

"I didn't open my email pa Angel ikaw ba?"

She replies fast than the usual maybe wala to sa isang account niya.

"Well I got in kaso hindi sa gusto kong univ but it's ok nasa option ko naman yun"

" Saan ka ba I thought you'll persue UST since you'll be in Archi Dept ?

"Doon nga ako I wanted to take Medicine  Yanna alam mo naman yun but sina papa ayaw kaya ok na yun. How about you still Legal Management?

"Still Legal Management. Kinakabahan lang ako since we will live away from our family."

"Don't worry if you'll pass the Ateneo you're just an hour away from Uste depende sa traffic HAHAHAHAHA"

" Hoping , anyways where to this vacay?"

She's so attentive here di ata siya naka open sa isa niyang account and based on her description escape niya daw yun sa stressful world of academics.

"Let's have our vacay pag natapos na natin mga papers natin at na settle na natin lahat for college."

Well I agree on that , nakaka stress yung enrollment portion ano pa kaya pag may class na baka mabaliw na ako nito. We continue our conversation until she bid goodbye may gagawin daw if I know nasa kabilang account lang siya. Matagal niya na akong pinipilit to create another account pero ayoko baka maka distract yun sa akin.

I decided to open my email dahil nakita ko na din yung announcement from Ateneo that they already confirmed those admission for freshmen. I was literally shocked and overwhelmed because I saw my name for the shit and back naka pasa ako. I didn't mind what time is it , I was running through our hallway going to my parent's room shouting.

"What happened to you Yllanna? dis oras na ng gabi sumisigaw ka pa."

" I passed mom , nakapasa ako . Imagine I'll be living a university life in no time . I'm slowly taking steps towards my dreams."

"Congratulations mi amore your mom and I are so proud of you."

After the announcement bigla na lang inayos lahat ni dad , my condo , my bank , the tuition everything I need we're instantly settled.

I go back to my room and one thing hit me , I'll be away from my all of these . My bed , my pillows and blankets where I cried every night , My study area these is my safe space , my room. Hindi pa nga ako nakaka alis nagiging ma drama na ako how much more when I'm away home.

Hindi na ako nag basa I just drink my coffee and spare my time on social media. We have a certain group chat for the family in mg dad's side , They're all congratulating me once again for passing Ateneo.

Im so blessed to have such cousin na parang kapatid ko na . We exchange words for a while hanggang sa nagkandaloko loko na yung topic nila. They're bragging their girls and I can't relate to that.

Before sleeping I messaged Angelie and tell her I passed Ateneo admission. This is it, this is what I want.

"Good morning love ."  I woke up early than the usual mom's still preparing breakfast. "Good morning my , where's daddy?"

"He's still preparing , how about you what are your plans now?"

"Continue life ,  Mag hahanap kami ni Angel ng condo near our universities . Nakapasa din pala siya sa UST kaya pupunta ako sa kanila to catch up"

"That's better atleast you have someone you know there. Ayaw nyo ba mag share na lang ng condo?"

" I don't know mom hindi ata convenient yun since malayo yung mga univs namin sa isa't - isa."

" Ok love , tapusin mo na yan so you and Angel could have enough time to find your perfect place. "

" Mom can I ask magkano yung budget so that I know how to balance it"

"Pick the condo that will make you comfortable and as well as convenient to you kami na bahala ng daddy mo when it comes sa finances mo"

" Oh ok mom thank you for providing everything ."

I decided to wait dad before eating para magkasabay sabay na kami. He also insist na pumunta na kmi next week sa manila after we find our condo online para ma check na agad yung unit. Iniisip ko kung ano pa mga kailangan kong papers para pag nasa manila na isahan na lng lahat pati pag pasa ng mga requirements ko.

After eating sumabay na lang ako kay daddy since on the way na lang din naman bahay nila Angel papuntang office ni niya.

"Take care as well dy , iloveyou see you later."
