'Everything
is Not as
Simple
As it
Seems,' I etched on the toilet door, trying to maintain the bullshit mystery façade so I wasn't just as boring as the rest of these fuckers.
I walked out of the toilet and Dev was waiting for me. I smiled at him.
'Let me guess, you've done something pretentious again.'
'Always,' I laughed and ruffled his hair a bit more.
'Fancy skipping English to come to Tesco?' He asked.
'I don't skip,' I replied, which he knew already. 'Plus it is the first lesson of the year. You need to actually attend stuff this year.
He nodded. He knew I was right. I was always right.
'Are you okay?' I asked him, knowing the answer.
He didn't say anything. He didn't need to. I knew this was going to be a hard day.
'I wish it had been me,' he said, his eyes watering were watering.
I grabbed him and held him and he loosely placed his arms around me.
'You've got me you crazy bastard.'
