I woke up to Ringo playing with my hair. "Shit, what time is it?" I ask him wearily. "Its 6:00, and Im driving, thats final," he said. It was too early to argue anyway. "Whatever you say Rings," I replied. "Hungry?" He asked me. "I never eat breakfast," I say to him with a soft smile. He gave me a concerned look. "Alright then. Im gonna go use the restroom. You can pick out what you want to wear," he said to me. I nodded and looked through his closet. It was very Ringo. Out of all the boys, he definitely has the best style. I pick out a black shirt and denim jeans. Just something casual. "Ye-ye look bloody good, in uh, in my clothes," he said, blushing profusely. He was cute when he stuttered. "Do you have any gum or something? My breathe stinks," I say laughing. It wasn't even that funny, my breathe gets horrible in the morning. "Yeah, give me a sec," he said. He handed me a stick of gum. "Thanks," I say to him, smiling. He smiled back. "Im gonna change so can you, t-turn around please," he said, awkwardly coughing. I nodded and turned around. I sat there, fiddling with my thumbs. "Hey, we're matching," I say looking him up down. "Yeah, i guess we are," he said, chuckling to himself. "So is this your ring collection?" I say pointing at a dish with jewelry in it. "Yep! Want one? I have too many," he said. "Oh really? Sure!" I said, my face lighting up. Ive always admired his rings. "Alright, lets go," Ringo says. I get in his car. It smells like him. Its also very clean, which makes sense.

We make it into school. I grab onto his hand as we go into our first class. We have 3 classes together. Ringo lets go of my hand as I walk to my seat. "So, you and Rings finally a thing?" John said to me. "What? No. Never will be, we're just friends," I say. I turned around to look at Ringo who was clueless on what was happening and drumming on his desk. "Why would you think that anyway?" I ask Lennon. He gives me a smile and doodles in his notebook. George and Paul walk in late, like usual. "Harrison, McCartney, get in your seats I have a few announcements to make," our teacher says. "Good morning class. In case if you didn't know, the end of the school year dance is coming up. Free admission. And it is a formal dance," says the teacher. "Why are you wearing Ringos clothes?" George asked me. "Because I can. Why do you care?" I snapped back. "Damn, someones moody," he said. I heard Lennon and George talk to each other about something. The bell rang and I walked with Ringo to out second class. It was me, him, and Paul. I held Ringos hand again, but this time he let go. I thought it was weird, but it didn't matter that much. "Ringos clothes? Really? You couldn't go to your house and change," Paul said, looking me up and down. "Why does everyone care that im wearing his clothes? Its not that big of a deal," I say to him. "Well probably because you guys are dating," Paul said. "We aren't! First John thinks that and now you. I don't see it ever happening," I say, thinking about it. Maybe he did have a point. I was wearing his clothes, and we were matching. I have been holding his hand. But those are just friendly activities..right? Who else thinks that? Class ended shortly and I waited for George to catch up to me. "Bye Rings, see ya at lunch," I say to him, waving. He smiled back at me. "Why is everyone acting so weird?" I ask Geo. "I could ask you the same thing. You've been acting strange too," he replied. "Well you have too!" I say quickly. "Last night, I was gonna tell Ringo that I like- never mind," I say cutting myself off. I didn't want him to get any ideas. "Who do you like? Because its obviously not Ringo, you guys are just friends," George said with a smirk.  "Its one of the band members, thats all you need to know," I say, walking into the classroom. "If you wanna go to the dance with me you can," he says with a wink. "Ill think about it," I say smiling at him. I needed get to my mind off things. I think that Geos cute, don't get me wrong, but I don't know if I exactly fancy him. I look at the ring that Ringo gave me. I sighed, playing with it and thinking about him.

Class finally was over, after what seemed like an eternity. It was time for lunch, which means that I can talk to Rings again. "You coming?" George asked me, as I stood outside the door. "Yeah give me a second, go on without me," I say to him. I head to the bathroom. Of course, all the pretty, popular girls were there fixing there makeup. "Well if it isnt Mrs. I Hang Out With A Band," said the taller one. "What are you gonna do, play me a song?" said the one to her left. The girl to her right tripped me. "Oops," she said, laughing. They all walked out. I left the bathroom shortly after that. I go to the table where the boys are sitting and I sit between John and Paul. "Are you ok? You're bleeding from your nose. And your mouth," Geo said. "I am?" I say as I wipe my nose. "Fucking whores," I whisper to myself, looking at where the group of girls is. "What was that?" Ringo said, looking at me, disappointed. "I need to talk to them, give me a second," I say to the boys, walking over to their table. "What?" says the girl who tripped me. "Come here, I have a secret to tell you," I say to her. She leans in and I punch her, square in the nose. "Stay away from me and the band, or you all get it," I say looking them in the eyes. Im not very strong, but I somehow hurt her. They all look at me and scoff. I walked back over and the guys just exchanged looks with each other. "No more punching people, its rude," Ringo said to me. "They were being rude to me. All of us sitting here actually. I was done with their shit," I say to him, looking in his eyes. "Tell someone then. Violence is never the answer," he said, becoming annoyed with me. "What would they do? Tell the girls to stop? Thats not gonna change anything," I snap back at him. "Leave," Ringo said to me. "What?" I say, looking at him confused. "Just, leave the table please," he says with sadness. The boys look at me. "Cmon George," I say, pulling at his shirt. He shrugs his shoulders at the boys and find a table to sit at. "Why is Ringo acting like this? You would've done the same thing," I say to George. "It's probably because he was gonna ask one of them to the dance or something," I say, answering my own question. "Thats not Ringos type. Did you ever stop to think it's because he didn't want you getting hurt? Maybe because he likes you," George stated. "Why would he make me leave the table then? And he doesn't like me," I say. "I don't know, why do you hold his hand?" Geo asks. "Thats not important right now," I say, blushing. "Ill talk to him," George says. "Wait, im coming with you," I say to him. "Welcome back Geo," John said, ask George sat down. "Hey freak!" I hear someone yell. I look over and its the most popular girl. "Yeah, im talking to you, you skank. You better watch your who your punching. Fight me you pussy," she yelled at me. I ignored her, I didn't want Rings to get madder at me. "Whats wrong? You scared? Or are you worried about your little boyfriend? Don't worry, I have someone who'll take care of him," shes says, with a sinister smile. I look over and see her ripped, jock, football playing boyfriend. "Im not dating any of them," I say, and I look back at Ringo, who's looking at Jonathan. The strongest guy on the football team. "Not even Ringo Starr? The drumming weirdo?" She yells at both of us. "What did you call him," I ask her. I was filled with anger, my blood boiling. "You heard me," she said in a snappy response. "Listen here, you lay a finger on him and ill beat the shit out of you. And thats not a threat, thats a promise," I say, walking up to her and pushing her. "I don't have to worry, I wouldn't touch him, thats Jonathans job," she whispers to me. I turn around and see him pick Ringo up by the back of his shirt collar, and throw him on the ground. "Rings!" I yell to him. At this point the boys are prying Johnathon off of Ringo. Johnathon punch him a few times, blood was running down his face. Jonathan threw one final punch and knocked him out. The teachers forced Jonathan up, as the boys and I took him to the nurse. I was carrying him in my arms. "He'll be ok, right?" I ask the nurse. "Yep, just give him a few hours. I slowly nod, a few tears running down my cheeks.

I walk back to the boys. "He's gonna be ok," George says. "I can't believe I let that happen. This was all my fault, and nows he's never going to forgive me," I said. "You did kind of stick up for him though, so at least you tried," Paul said, reassuring me. "You're right," I agreed, smiling a bit. "We should get to class now," John said, checking his watch. I walked with George to my next class. I grabbed his hand. He gave me a confused look. "Oh, sorry im just used to holding hands when I walk with people I guess," I say to him, blushing a bit. We walk into class, well the last 20 minutes of its. "Where have you two been?" Out teacher asked. "We were just helping a friend," George said. "Is that why Ringo isn't in class?" The teacher asked. "Yeah" George says. "I heard he got knocked out," says some kid. "Is that so?" He says. "Yes," I say. "All right, go to your seats and get caught up. We are on page 76," the teacher says. "Thats it for class, George and Ace, come here," says the teacher. George and I shared confused looks. "What is it?"'George asks. "Ringo needs to be caught up. Ace, give these papers to him," your teachers said to you. "Ok I will," you say, smiling at him. "You're maturing quite nicely Ace," my teacher says, looking me up and down. He always weirded me out. "Oi, not funny lad," George says to him. "We should get going," I say, grabbing his wrist.

"Hello?" I knock on the nurses door. "Come in," she said. "Is he awake yet?" I said walking in. "Barely. He'll be fine," she said again. "Yeah, I just have to drop off some papers," I say, walking towards him. "Hey," I whisper to him. "Hey," hey whispers back. "Mr. Willow sent me to drop off some papers," I tell him. "Can you stay with me, just for a little while," Ringo asks. "Yeah, sure," I say, smiling. "Im sorry, I just didn't want you to get hurt, you scared me," Ringo said. "Really? I thought you didn't care," I say to him. I guess I was overreacting. "Im sorry too, I kinda tried to protect you I guess, but that obviously didn't work," I say, my face getting redder by the second. "Your face is getting red darling, are you ok?" Ringo asked, concerned. "Y-yeah, I am just f-fine and dandy," I say. "Ok, whatever you say love," He says laughing at me. "Whats so funny?" I ask him. "Nothing, you're just adorable, thats all," He said, squeezing my cheek. "Stop, you're so cheesy," I say to him. "See! Adorable," Rings said. "Are you trying to make me blush," I jokingly ask him. "If its working, then yes," he said, and I was red like a tomato. "Feel better soon, you idiot," I said to him, kissing his cheek. "I promise I will," he says, giving my hand a squeeze.
