Paul, not wanting to waste any time, gathered me and the boys to his garage. They all picked up their instruments and tried making a melody for Ringo's song. "What if we had it be a soft, sweet melody," I said to the boys, who seemed stuck. "Alright. Is that ok boys?" Paul asks. They all nod. I work on my homework as they piece together a song. Its quite interesting really. I was always amazed by their talent. As I was working on my homework, I remember our teacher commenting on how I was maturing. I don't know why, but it stuck in my head. "Hey Geo?" I say to George. He was caught off guard. "Yes?" He asked me. "Do you remember what Mr.Willow said? When Ringo was in the nurses office and I had drop the stuff off," I say to him. "Yeah, I do. Why?" He said. "What did he mean? The way you reacted made me feel like he wasn't actually complimenting me," I say to him. The rest of the boys exchanged looks with each other. "He was referring to how your body..h-how its changing," he said, a little flustered. "Thats a little weird, innit?" I say to him. "Very. If he says something like that again, tell me," he smiles at me. "Im sorry, what did he say?" Paul said. "Weird teacher things," I shrugged. Geo walked over to Paul and told him what the teacher said. "He said that," Paul said. His face went from concerned to angered. "Bastard," he whispered to himself. "Wait, so what did he say?" John asked me. I looked up from my homework. "He said I was maturing nicely," I responded, looking back at my binder. John smirked. "Well he isn-" "Oi! Im right here y'know!" Ringo said, cutting John off. I smiled a bit.
After another hour or so of them practicing, they finally got somewhere. "How do you think its coming along?" Ringo said, walking over to me. "Its very nice," I say, smiling at him. "Thanks," he said. "I can feel the sexual tension," John said, walking towards us. "Ew, not everyone here is horny," I said flustered. "Not you, but maybe Ringo," Lennon said with a seductive smile. I turned to see Ringo, looking very red. "Lets hope so," I say, kissing him on the lips by surprise. He seemed shocked at first, but then he took the kiss well. I put my hands on the back of his head, deepening it. His hands cupped my cheeks. "Ok we get it," Paul said, seeming disgusted. "Go get a room," Geo said. I started pulling away from the kiss. "Im gonna head home," I say to the guys. "Oh, cmon, don't leave quite yet," Paul said. "Yeah, we need you to help with the song," Geo said im agreement. "Please," Ringo said, holding my hand. "Fine, but only for thirty more minutes," I say, giving in. "Wait, do you guys have a manager?" I ask them. "No," Paul said, sadly. "I think I might know someone," I say, which make their faces light up a Christmas tree. "You better be serious," George said. We were all smiling like idiots. "Ringo and Paul, do you guys remember that one girl I used to talk to in eight grade. Short blonde hair, blue eyes, her name was Alice," I say to them. "Oh yeah. She was sweet," Rings said, remembering her. "Cute too," Paul added. I think I still have her number in my phonebook," I say to them. "Ill drive you to your house, get her number, we can come back here and call her, and figure it out from there," John said to me. "Ok, lets go!" I say grabbing his wrist. I take a quick look back at Ringo. He gives me a smile. "We don't have all day," he says. "Yeah sorry," I say, walking out to his car. "So who's Alice, and how is she going to help us get a manager?" John asks. "Well, Alices dad is a manager. I figured she would let me come over maybe, meet all of you, and have her dad manage you guys," I responded to him. "I think you're shooting a little far love," he said smiling at me. "Well still, it might work," I say hopefully.
We arrive at my house and I run in to get my phonebook. "Wow..its so girly," John said looking at it. It had pink stickers. "Ive had it since I was thirteen or so, so it might look a little girly," I say, mocking him. I open it and scanned through the names. I stopped when I see hers. Alice Williams. "I found it!" I yelled to John. "You found it?" He yelled back. "Yeah! Cmon, I know you can drive faster than that," I said. We made it back to Pauls garage. "I need your fucking telephone," I tell him. He lets me inside and I call Alice. "Hello?" "Hi Alice! Its been a while since I called," I said, relieved that she answered. "Is this..is this Ace?" She says. I could hear a smile creep up on her face. "Yeah it is! How are you?" I ask her. "Im great! How are you? Are you still in love with that Richard kid?" She asks. Shit. I look at the boys who give me this confused but happy face. "Yeah, I guess you could say that," I answer her. I could only imagine Ringo's face right now. "I miss him, he was cute. Hows..whats his name? Paul! Hows Paul. Is he single?" She asked. A smirk reaches my face as I get an idea. "Yeah. Im actually here with him right now," I say, giggling. "He didn't hear me..right? I swear I had the biggest crush on that boy," she said. "Ill let you talk to him," I say giving the phone to Paul. "I take it my charm got to you, eh?" He said into the phone. "No way! James Paul McCartney is talking to me right now," she said. "In the flesh," he said. "We need a favor," Paul said. "Anything," she said to him. "Is your dad still a manager?" he questioned. "Yeah. Why? Did you and Richard start a boyband or something?" She asked curiously. "Well, its a rock and roll band, with Richard, me, and a few other lads," he corrected. "Oh cute. I could probably get you guys a meeting with him. But whats in it for me?" She asked. "A date. Ill pick you up around 7, we can go to dinner, and Ill have you home by a decent hour," Paul said. He was charming. "You got yourself a deal, Paul," she said to him. "Thanks love," he said, hanging up. "Looks like someone has a girlfriend," Geo said. "Its just a date, lay off," Paul said, blushing. "Aww you're blushing," I say, mocking all the times he said that to me. "Lovebirds," Ringo yelled. The boys all laughed at Paul, while he gave me a grumpy face. "You deserve it," I say to him. "Alright love, I see how it is," he said, sticking his tongue out.
I check my watch. 7:45. "Rings, don't we have the thing..to go to," I say, trying to not make it seem like we have a date. "Oh yeah, the thing that we both go to..together," He said frantically. "Just say you're going on a date, no ones judging you," George said. "Its not a date," we both say. "Tell me that when you guys are married," Geo said, laughing at us. "I..we wont have to," I said, thinking I saved us. "Yeah because it'll be so obvious, you wont have to tell anyone," John remarked. "No, because we aren't getting married!" I hissed at him. As I said that, Ringo went on one knee. "Will you marry me, Ace Taylor Smith?" He said, taking off one of his rings. "Yes! A million times yes!" I say dramatically fainting in his arms. "Can we go now?" Ringo asks, holding me like a bride. "If you call it a date," Paul said, standing in front of a door. "Shit, we're gonna be late," I say, looking at my watch. It read 7:49. "Just call it a date, and then you can leave," he said, crossing his arms. "Can I please take my gi- er, uh, best friend on a date," he said sweetly, stumbling over his words. I blushed hard realizing he almost called me his girlfriend. "Yes, you may take your GIRLFRIEND on a date," he said, smiling as he opened the door. We both turned cherry red as we walk out.
Ringo drives me to a bar. It wasn't like your average bar though. It was very high class. "What a cute place!" I say, examining it. "Yeah, I thought you would like it," he said, kissing my hand. It was still a little early, so it we didn't have any drinks just yet. Around an hour later, there was music playing and Ringo and I danced for a while. "Drinks?" He asked me politely. "Since when did you like drinking?" I questioned him. "Since..since right now I suppose," he said, laughing. "Ok, but you only get three shots, maximum," I say to him. "Three it is," he said, disappointed. I knew he couldn't handle more than three, if that. We get handed straight vodka, which probably was a mistake, but we didn't care. "First shot, you ready?" I ask him. "Ready as I'll ever be," Richie said nervously. "Cheers," I say with a smile. "Shit, thats strong," I say, making a face. "Why does it burn?!" Ringo asked. "Because you wanted to be a big boy, and have your first shot be straight vodka," I say with a smug face. "Never again!" He said to me. "Get this lad a beer," I say to the bartender. She nods. I get handed my second shot of vodka. "Cheers. Not to me but to us. And all of the shit we've been through. I loved you, love you, and will forever be loving you," I say, looking at Ringo. We clink our glasses together. The second shot hurt more than the first one. "Ace.." Richie says to me. I was pretty tipsy at this point, but he sounded like he had something serious to say. "What is it?" I ask him. "Will you..will you be my girlfriend," he said, smiling to me. I smiled back. "Yes, of course," I say to him through kisses. He began kissing my lips. God, it was going to be a long night. He pushed our lips closer together. I was holding his cheeks with my hands. His hands were scanning my body, landing on my waist. The kisses were getting more passionate by every second. Our make out session shortly began to get more intense. I pushed him against a wall, showering his neck with kisses. I even left a few hickeys, which I hoped would stay, to show the boys. "We should get back home," he said. I looked at my watch and it was 11:30. "Shit! Yeah," I say to him. "But first," he said, before flipping us so I was against the wall. He began kissing my jawline, and went down my neck. He kissed my neck, and left a few hickeys. "Mmm," I moaned in response. "Did you just.." Ringo said, getting silent. "I think I did.." I say, meeting his eyes. It was awkward. "I- we should go home now," he said. I nodded my head in agreement. "Ill see you tomorrow darling," he said, hugging me. "You're adorable," I say, hugging him back. He kissed my forehead, and with that he drove away. I walked up to my room, thinking about how crazy of a night it was. And how he's gonna hate me tomorrow. Tomorrow is the dance, and I think he forgot.
