It was the first day back to school after a long summer and boy were you not ready. Last year had been long and you weren't prepared to start sophomore year. You have a good amount of friends at school and you do well in your classes but you just feel like summer went too fast. As your sisters driving you to school you feel a bit nostalgic and anxious. What will this year bring? Will it be any different than last year? As your white converse hit the pavement and your long brown hair gets picked up by the wind you take a deep breathe and walk in. When you get to school you meet up with your best friend Becky whose been gone all summer. "Y/N it's so good to see you! It's been way too long" Becky exclaims when you embrace in the hall. You tell each other about your summers and before you can get a word in edgewise Becky starts going on about the guys she met and her summer flings. You sigh. You wish you had that but you don't. You've never really done much with guys and it makes you sad because you feel like your missing out but you don't know what exactly you're missing out on. Of course you feign interest to hide your jealousy as Becky goes on and on about her makeout seshes and hookups. You're still standing in the hallway talking with Becky outside your class and that's when you saw him. You can feel your face flush and yours eyes widen as this jaw dropping figure walks by. You knew he must be an incoming freshman because you definitely would have noticed him before. Becky's still talking but you're not listening. He walks by almost in slow motion and you can't take yours eyes off him. You hear his friend call "hey Grayson over here!" and at that point you knew exactly what you had been missing out on and you weren't about to miss anymore.
