I landed on my knees, that was probably one of the most outrageously stupid things I had done because I had no clue how I was going to get back into the castle. The skirt of my dress was torn on my left thigh and it felt warmer than my other, which was on the cold floor of wherever I was. I looked at it, confused and there was blood seeping out of my leg. A sharp pain started to occur, there must be sharper stones on this side of the wall. I looked up and there were more stones that poked out of the wall on this side, probably preventing people from climbing in as they are sharp making it impossible for somebody to get over, but wouldn't people know not to come in? I examined the wall closer and saw a crack I felt the wall to find a loose stone, it looked as if it had been chipped at. People have tried to get in. I wanted to stay and find out more about it but I could hear the maids now, they where shouting but it was faint from here. I fled the area hoping that the people who tried to break through the wall weren't near.
I ran-limped through trees with adrenaline pumping through my veins, I had never been through the woods before, I had never been anywhere other than the castle before. I couldn't stop myself from smiling even though my leg was losing blood rapidly, it felt numb-not painful, but I didn't care. I was free!
I slowed down to a walk, everything looked the same and I couldn't see the wall. I was surrounded by trees. I sat by a tree to catch my breath, not sure what to do. I could feel my leg throbbing now, my eyesight became shadowed, and my head started to pound. Then there was darkness.
