??? POV:

As a nurse, I had many occasions to meet patients of all kinds of age, of all origins, of all kinds, and diseases as different as each other. But this time, the patient I was entrusted with is a much more serious case than I would have thought...At first, I was trying to ignore her living conditions, and her condition... However, the more time passes, the more I see his body, which was previously healthy, deteriorate and fade more and more. Her movements became more and more uncontrollable for her. And by uncontrollable, I mean she's barely able to move at all.

I tried to talk to the doctor, but he wouldn't listen.

The poor child... her spirit seems to dissipate, leaving only a body without a soul.I have before me a living dead...My God! I took every night for heaven to forgive my sins, for it to forgive me for foolishly closing my eyes...

The other day, I finally had the courage to ask the doctor again to lower the dose of his treatment. This kind of treatment has more to do with killing her than keeping her between life and death."This young woman has more of the appearance of a corpse than a living being, sir. I have seen her fade from day to day. She barely manages to raise even a single arm during her bath... His fever is rising and I can't bear to see someone suffer like this. My job is supposed to help others, not worsen their condition... I beg you, doctor, kill her, or end this treatment."

"I understand your concern, Laura, don't worry. But I can't do anything without the master's agreement.""There is a way...."

"The instruction is clear and precise: she has to take her medication. So, unless you want to disobey the master's orders, you'd better continue your role and shut up! ""Maybe diminish them-""LAURA!! Stop these ramblings! Orders are orders. Learn where you belong and obey orders. We all do, so do you."

I was glancing at him. I know he's not wrong, and society is made that way. But I can't stay that way. Killing someone....I felt the doctor's two hands resting on my shoulders. "Listen... I know it's not easy for you, not to mention your conditions. But it has to be done."

"What if she is pregnant? How will the master react when he hears of the death of one of his children?"

The doctor was taken in doubt. His gaze filled with a light fear, his hands gripped automatically. She's not... pregnant, is she?"

BINGO! "I'm pretty sure it won't be long before it/they came out." I continue."What do you mean? " He stiffened up.

"Even if she eats very little, if not, her stomach starts to swell. Trust me, I have a feeling that a new... new child will be born in a few months. However, given their condition, the child is likely to die in a few weeks."

The doctor's face decomposed. "Scheiße..."

He looked around us. The door is well closed, and no one can hear us. "Does the master know?"I deny. "Not yet."He sighed with relief. "Don't tell anyone. Much less the master. We're going to decrease the treatment in the hope that the fetus will remain stable and continue to grow healthy. But I want this to stay between you and me."I agree. "I understand. Don't worry, I'll take care of everybody. Don't talk to anyone about it. If I fall, you fall with me."

This is how I managed to reduce the treatment gradually. She probably did not have a child, as no one came into the room for such purposes.

The master, not very present, as usual, came only a little. One evening, I saw a strange liquid running down the young lady's leg.

Panicked, I ran to the doctor's room BUT, I stopped just in time in the hallway. A gunshot sound was heard throughout the hallway, a noise coming from the doctor's room.

Oh my God!

When the door opened, I hid in the adjacent hallway. I saw two soldiers leaving his room.

My face when I saw them:

They went across the hall

They went across the hall.I don't know what begets this, but I must return to my lady before the master returns.I turn around and see the master's father standing behind me. My eyes expand for a moment. Then I resumed my usual calm and greeting with respect.

I pass by him, a chilly chill runs through my body. I am used to his son... So I don't understand why I feel so threatened when I walk past this former leader.

I begin to take a few steps, then feel that I am followed.

I turn around, nobody. I make a quick detour in case, then rush towards the room, taking shortcuts little known to most of the inhabitants of this house.

When I finally get to my lady's room, I listen quietly and then enter.I froze when I saw my master's father standing by the window, patiently waiting for me to enter.

"Setzen Sie sich bitte, Frau Hoffmann." (=Please sit down, Ms. Hoffmann.)

I look at my lady, the sheets have already been changed. Has he...

"Wir wissen beide, dass du niemand bist, der vor den Konsequenzen deiner Taten davonläuft, oder?" (=We both know you're not one to run away from the consequences of your actions, right?)

I raise my head to him, keeping my composure. I agree." Jawohl." (=Yes, sir.)

He nods.I follow his orders and sit down.

He goes to the door without saying a word and shut it up. He asked me calmly: "Was ist passiert?" (=What happened?)

The room became silent, a silence of death.

He said nothing, and watched me calmly. I vaguely heard about him. At least, I wasn't particularly listening to what was said about him at the time. So I have no idea how to react to him, even if I was born in this Empire...

"Will you kill me?" I ask him.He does not let anything appear on his face. "In der Tat. Kooperation wird euch jedoch einen mehr oder weniger langsamen Tod bringen." (=In a matter of fact/Indeed. Nevertheless, cooperating will grant you a more or less slow death.)

My heart missed a beat. "So?" he went on with his usual calm.

I was explaining to him about the treatment and how I was able to convince the doctor to decrease it.

"Diese Geschichte handelte nicht von dir." (=This story was not about you.(=It was none of your concern.)) He said to me coldly as he got up and pulled a gun from his uniform. He pointed it at me. Thanks for your cooperation, Laura." He smiled and--- **SHOT**
