Friday morning happened far. Drew and Amy texted each other between classes. The conversation they had last night changed something between them, I mean, both of them weren't open to many people, but last night they did it. They told their deepest feeling to someone they just met, someone they didn't know in person...
The afternoon arrived and Drew was getting ready for a party. He was wearing black jeans and a withe shirt. Drew was a bit upset because his girlfriend, Veronica, wasn't going to go to the party, but at less their friends were going, so he would have fun.
Drew looked at himself on the mirror, he thought he was handsome, but sometimes he hated it. He hated when people judged him just because his look, when they all wanted to get close to him not because his personality, but because he was popular. That was why he felt so good when he was talking with Amy, because at the beginning she didn't know how he looked, she didn't know he was popular or he had blue eyes, but she had been kind with him anyway. And Drew loved that kind of people, people who don't judge others by their looks.
He took a selfie and snapchated it to Amy
"Party time!" He wrote
Amy replied with a picture of her wearing a waitress uniform with a coffee
"Work time D:. Have fun at the party!"
Amy worked as a waitress on Saturdays, Sundays and Fridays afternoons. It was at Joe's favorite café, and before they found out his disease they used to go there to have breakfast every Sunday.
The owner of the café was one of Joe's best friends, that's why when Amy told him she needed money to pay Joe's medicines he offered her a job there.
Every client of the café knew Joe, and they knew they were going through bad times, that was why they always left a good tip to Amy.
That afternoon after a few minutes working George walked through the door and sat in one of the empty tables.
As soon as Amy saw him she started so get nervous. George was that bad boy who makes all the girls scream just breathing. Half of Amy's high school (including her) was in love with him; but Amy knew she didn't had a possibility with him, he just dated perfect girls, skinny girls with a perfect figure and rich parents... And not girls like Amy.
Oh, and now he was dating Emily, a girl who hated her since they were twelve, when Amy was voted at the president of her class and won her.Mean while in Los Angeles Drew arrived to the party. After a few minutes lost in the big house he could recognized Levi's hair in the crodw and started to walk towards him
"Hey mate!" Said Levi while giving him a hug "You are late!"
"I know I know... Where are the rest of the boys?"
"Uhm... Austin and Nate disappeared a while ago with some girls" "And I'm about to do the same now" whispered pointing to a girl next to him
"Oh okay..." Said Drew upset, no friends and no girl, he was sure it was going to be a boring party.
And he was right, fifteen minutes after he decided to leave, it was too early, but he would rather be watching TV in his house than in the middle of that party where he didn't know anyone.
He was on his way back home when he felt the needed to go to the toilet. He really needed it, so he stopped on a bar. He almost ran to the bathroom, when he walked in he could see a couple kissing, he didn't pay much attention. When he finished and when out of the toilet he could see better the two people who were kissing, and he couldn't believed what he saw.
In New York Amy was on her way home happier than ever when she received a call from Drew
"Drew!! Oh my god!! You won't believe what happened me today!!" yelled to the phone "So I was working at the café as usual when a saw George, the most popular boy on my school and then I went to his table to take his order and he said 'We were together at history class with Mr. Smith a few years ago right?' You know what that means!! We were together in the same class years ago and he stills remember I exit!! "
"Wow that's amazing little girl!"
Amy realized something was wrong with his voice"Drew are you crying? What happened? "
"I'm sorry, I called the boys and they all were in a party and I didn't know who to call..."
"It doesn't matter. But what happened? Are you okay?" asked Amy worried
"I was on my way home from the party" started to say Drew trying not to cry more "and I really needed go to the toilet, so I stopped on a bar to go to use their bathroom, when I entered on the bar I saw a couple kissing, I didn't pay much attention, but then, when I got out from the bathroom I looked at them again and it..." he stopped for a few seconds "it was my girlfriend kissing another boy"
Amy heard tears through the phone"but... Are you sure it was her?" Asked
"Well, I didn't see her face, but she was tall, skinny, blonde, had the same hair and..." he stopped again "she was wearing the dress I bought her to prom... "
