Dear Diluc,

The first time I ever received flowers was on a regular day. It wasn't my birthday or a celebration for something I'd achieved. It was just a normal day, where I had been running errands in the city.

I noticed a new task on my list that wasn't there before. It was to deliver flowers from Flora's shop, and although I hadn't seen it on the paper before, it didn't seem unusual, so I went to pick them up. Surely enough, Donna had prepared a fresh bouquet, ready to be delivered.

They were a bunch of beautiful Calla Lilies. I thought,
Whoever receives these will definitely be delighted.

But the place the destination of the flowers was Starsnatch Cliff. Of course, I had to deliver them before sunset.

So just as the sun was setting, I reached the top of Starsnatch cliff, panting and covered in sweat, only to be faced with you smiling at my disheveled state.

Sincerely, Y/n.

"Diluc!" Y/n passed the flowers into his arms and began her questionnaire. "Did you order these flowers?"

"Yes, I did." He stood with the well decorated bouquet in his arms, a small smile pressed all over his face.

She leaned in, "And you decided to make me run all the way to Starsnatch Cliff?"

"Yes, I did that." Diluc faced away from her and towards the now setting sun. "Look, look at the sky."

Indeed the sky was a wonderful sight to look at, with its lovely pinks and reds and oranges. Starsnatch cliff pointed to the large orange star, seemingly making it more special. There was a good reason why it was popular among lovers and romantics.

"Well, who are the flowers for?" She asked, and maybe it was a stupid question, but Diluc answered it by handing the lilies back to her. "Me? Why?"

"What do you mean, why? Why not? Does something have to happen to receive flowers?" The young winery owner looked genuinely confused.

"Yes, I suppose? I don't know, this is my first time." Y/n began shying away, a bit embarrassed that she had never received flowers before.

"Then I'll make sure you get gifted plenty more." He looked at her, then the sunset, as if he was trying to tell the difference between them and failing. Both were beautiful and both he found peace with.

And as he intently watched the colours of the horizon, she was the only one who saw his fiery hair turn into bright red flames, and it sparked something deep inside her - the fear of having to let go one day.
