the gang heads to grzes house, and chaos (?) ensues.

Chapter three: Tense

"You know- you know what ??" Maja slurred out, completely out of it at this point. "We should. We should order pizza :)" She said. "You dumbass, it's storming :('' Toby says before he takes another hit. "Nobodies gonna come in this fuckin weather" He finishes. "Well, that's like, really selfish because I would definitely go out in this weather for a pizza." Radosław says, laying down on Gzres's carpet while petting his cat. "Holy fuck, it's storming hard out there huh?" grzes says, looking at his balcony getting soaked. "... I didn't even realize it got darker .." He said, quieter. It was about 7:pm now at this point, quickly getting darker as the clouds forced any sunlight away.

"I'm still ordering it!" Maja said, grabbing Grzes phone. After turning on the screen, she notices he got a text. "Hey, grzes? You have a text, it's from your dad." She said as she passed his phone back to him. "Really? Huh. Also, why did you have my phone ..??" He says as he unlocks his phone to text his dad back. "Mine died!" she said. "That's really not an excuse..??" he responds. "What did he even text you for? I mean, like, I didn't even think he knew how." Radosław said, Way more concentrated on the cat laying down next to him than the conversation at hand. "Naturally I just assumed he still used one of those brick phones from the 80s" Toby added, laughing. "Cmon, he's not that old." Grzes says, setting his phone down on the arm of his sofa. "Well, What'd he say?" Maja asks, laying on the other end of the sofa. "Oh, uh, he said he's staying at the hospital tonight, so he'd be home tomorrow, and that I should .. order pizza." He said, a bit defeated. "WOO!!" Maja announced, quickly going over to grab grzes phone to make the order. "You know, you really need to like, stop grabbing my phone without asking," Grzes says.


"Hey, it's here!!" Maja announces. Grzes looks over and hears knocking, and as expected Radosław did not care at all and was still very fixated on the cat. "I'll pay for it." Grzes says, getting his wallet from the kitchen counter. "See Toby, I was righ-" Maja says, but stopping after realizing Toby wasn't there. "Hey Radosław, did you happen to see toby?" She asks, confused. "What ?? oh. Uh, no. Honestly, I haven't been paying attention like, at all." he responds, Half asleep and very baked. "You're no help huh? She says, falling onto the couch to lay down. "Nnnnope :)" Radosław says, almost sounding proud. Grzes set the pizza down on the counter before going to the living room. "Hey grzes, where is toby?" Maja asks. "...I don't know." Gzres answers as he sits down. "Maja, why are you so concerned? I mean, he probably fell asleep on the toilet." Radosław says, chuckling. "Well, I'm going to look for him. If you want pizza you gotta get up." Maja says before getting off the couch and walking down the hallway.


"WHAT??? That's fuckin rigged dude." Radosław says, almost glued to the floor. "....Heeeyyy Grzes, do you think-" "no." Grzes cuts him off before he can finish because he knows what he's going to ask for anyway.


As Maja walked down the hallway, she felt some sort of dread creeping up on her. Not to be rude to Grzes or anything, but his apartment freaks her out. The decor, the chipped walls, it was all just so.. Freaky. Though admittedly, she does get anxious when she smokes, so she just blamed it on that and went on her way. She opened each door slowly, so as not to disturb anything. She had just assumed Tobiasz had passed out somewhere in his house, and she was going to go wake him up. Though, nothing could've prepared her for what she saw next.

As she slowly opened the final door on the right, she heard breathing. Now, her first instinct was to run as far away as she could, but she stayed as it could be toby. "..Toby? What the fuck are you doing in Grzes' room?" She whispered, trying not to disturb the two in the living room. She tried to get a good look around the room but failed as it was very dark. She turned on the flashlight on her phone as she was charging it earlier, though it was only at 5. She slowly entered the bedroom fully and he aimed it at the bed and, surprise, there was Toby, laying on grzes bed, snuggling.. something?. Toby immediately turned around and threw whatever he was cuddling to the other side of the room in shock.

"...Maja! What a.. surprise!" He said, flustered and really confused. Maja sat down at the end of the bed and was quiet for a second before finally speaking. "...I'm not, like, disappointed or anything, I just want an explanation as to what the FUCK you're doing," she said, staring at him in awe. "Okay, so, it looks weird but I promise I wasn't doing anything bad." He says, trying to defend himself. "Yeah, yeah. Just tell me." She responds Scooching closer. "Okay, so, I was tired so I just went to grzes room to sleep. The end! That's all I was doing!" He rambled. "If that's it, why were you holding something? ...Was that one of grzes sweaters? Jesus, Toby!" She responds, sounding a tad bit shocked. "Well- I mean I was-" Toby stuttered to get his sentence out.

He sighed. "There's really no good way to put this, huh?" He said before falling onto the bed. "...Maja, if I told you something like, really embarrassing, would you promise not to tell anyone? Like, seriously, nobody," he muttered into the blankets, laying face down in the bed. After a while of thinking, Maja finally concludes. "..sure. Anything toby. I just don't understand how this is something you can only tell me as opposed to like, the whole group. But alright." she answered. "That's the thing.." Toby said, quieter. "I think... I think I might like Grzes. Surprise..??" He said, chuckling out of embarrassment.

Oh. oh.


Maja was silent for a while. Not in a bad way, just, trying to absorb what Toby told her. "Oookay, that's. A lot to unpack." She finally said, mind still kinda fried. "Yeah.. I know. I'm sorry." Toby said, voice starting to crack. "What? No, nononono toby don't-" Maja sighed, going to hug him. "Toby.. it's okay," Maja whispers, hugging him gently. After a while of just sitting there together, Maja finally thinks of something to say to him.

"Toby, i-. Listen, there's not much I can do about this," She said, still articulating her sentence. "I'm sorry, Toby. I'm so sorry, I know how shitty you must feel, just know it, it's really not your fault at all." She slowly said, careful about her word choice.

"Do you really feel like you love him? I mean, it's grzes. Of all people to have a gay awakening to, its fucking grzes?" She said, trying to lighten the mood with a joke. "Fuck you!" Toby responds, calmer now as the tense feeling in the room went down "Yeah, I'm sure. I don't even know why, i just, fell for him i guess." Toby adds, slightly embarrassed. "I really dont know what do say!" maja announces. "I mean, i dont really care, its just surprising. She adds. "Listenmn, im not, like, the best at this kinda stuff but if you really like him, just go for it" She said. "Really? I mean, what if he doesnt feel the same way?" toby responds, a bit anxious at the thought. "That doenst really matter. like, i really doubt hes gonna hate you or anything like that. If anything hes going to take it as a compliment, you know how he is!" maja laughed. 'Hah, i guess youre right." Toby said. "Thank you for.. For verything really," Toby said, getting up after hugging maja one last time. "No problem. One more thing though, stop taking Grzes sweaters. Its, like, really creepy." Maja chuckled. "That was a one time thing!" Toby yelled from the hallway.


Toby walks back to the living room, calmer than before, admittedly, he really wasnt in grzes room to be creepy. Instead, he was having a panic attack, because he was smoking. And he finds comfort in Grzes, so he just went to rest in his room.

"Oh, hey. Youre back!" radoslaw says, almost asleep on the floor. ""Oh, sup toby." Grzes said. Sprawled out on the couch. "Hi." Toby said, sitting back down at the glass coffee table. His anxiety went down as he sat closet to grzes,

Meanwhile, maja was still in grzes room. She was so tired, fuck grzes i he gets mad at her for sleeping here. She plugged in her phone, turned around and passed out.
