Stuck with you

The party

It was the next day at school which I didn't realize was the day before Halloween. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt to hide the scars on my arms from the glass. The ride to school in Billy's car was silent. When we got to school he didn't even say anything. I thought he would at least apologize but no. I walked into school when Nancy came to me again.
"So y/n are you going to the party tomorrow? Everyone's talking about it!"
"Umm I think so."
"Good! So have you made any other friends?"
"Ummm not really..."
"Well you could make some at the party!" She said as she closed her locker and walked away.
I could hear behind me billy talking to someone about the party. That means I'll have to go with him.
The day went by the same as before until 4th period. I was walking up to the front of the class to ask the teacher something when a random guy came and slapped my ass. Before he could pull away I grabbed his hand and twisted it in front of the class.
"Don't mess with me again."
The guy pulled away his hand and ran to the hall. I walked back to my seat with everyone staring.
When I sat down Steve leaned over to me.
"We're the fuck did you learn how to do that?" He whispered.
"My brother is billy Hargrove. You think I don't know how to fight back?" I said smiling.
I saw him smile a little a turn away. After class I was leaving when Steve caught up with me.
"Look. I'm sorry I judged you. I really thought you were just like your brother." He said. I could tell he was actually genuine.
"It's ok I guess. I'm used to it."
"Friends?" He said holding his hand out
"Friends." I said shaking it.
I was in the car with billy on my way home. I didn't dare walk home again and risk being late.
"I saw you talking to Harrington earlier."
"So?" I asked
"Stay away from him y/n."
"Ya whatever." I rolled my eyes
He grabbed my wrist and made me face him
"Stay. Away. Am I clear?"
I pulled away and looked out the window
When I got home I saw max and her mom getting he Halloween costume ready. I walked over to them.
"So max, who are you going as?"
"I'm going as Michael Myers!" She said
"Oh cool! I'm probably not dressing up."
"Oh why?"
" I don't know, I just don't really do that anymore."
I went upstairs and went to bed. The next day really flew by and before I knew it, it was time for the party. I got my hair and makeup on and just wore a long sleeve shirt and jeans.
"Y/N HURRY YOUR ASS UP!" billy yelled from downstairs.
"COMING!" I shouted back.
I went downstairs and we got in the car. When we got there billy started doing weird shit with people outside right away. I went inside and saw Nancy and Steve by the food and drinks.
"Hey y/n!" Nancy said
"Oh hey!"
"Me and Steve are going to dance! Wanna come with?"
"Uhh no thanks I'll stay over here." I said while getting a drink.
Nancy and Steve went and danced for awhile while before coming back to me. Nancy tried to get another drink when Steve stopped her.
"No, Nancy you've had enough. Your already drunk."
"No I'm not mOtHeR." She said. She was obviously drunk. She tried again to get another drink when Steve grabbed it from her. She tried pulling it back, they basically started playing tug of war when Steve accidentally spilled it all over her.
"What the hell Steve?" She said before running to the bathroom. Steve ran after her. They were gone for awhile so ended up drinking a tone while they were gone. I saw Steve storm out of the bathroom to me.
"What happened?" I asked. I was already drunk.
"Well apparently our relationship is bullshit, and I'm bullshit." He said trying to hold back tears
"Oh... I'm sorry." I said going for another drink.
"Woah woah y/n. How many drinks have you had?"
"Only like 6." I said as I stumbled.
"6!? Nope. No more." He said grabbing my cup
"But I want more!" I grabbed another cup
"No y/n! He said as he grabbed my wrist, accidentally pulled up my sleeve showing my scars from the glass.
"Holy shit, what happened?"
"What do ya think? My brother happened."
"What? Billy did this?"
"Yup. Also he'll kill me if he sees me with you."
"I'm taking you home with me tonight." He said
"No no no! What about billy?"
"I'll make sure your safe." He carried me out to his car and put me in.
On the way to his house I couldn't help but stare at him.
"Y/n are you rude your ok?"
"Ya. I'm used to him hurting me. I'm like his personal punching bag." I said while laughing
"That's not funny! He'll kill you!"
"Oh cmon he wouldn't. Well maybe if he was mad enough."
"From now on call me if anything bad happens ok?"
"Whatever. Fine."
We pulled up to his house.
"My parents are out of town for a few weeks so it should be fine."
He carried me inside and he put me down. He sat on the couch and told me to site next to him. I tried to sit but I fell on him.
"Oops sorry."
"No worry's." He said as he blushed a bit
"Steve I'm tIrEd." I said whining
"Let's get you in bed then. You can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the couch."
"I'll sleep on the couch."
"No it's fine I can."
"Fine well both sleep on the bed."
"Ok then." He carried me upstairs because I was to drunk to walk. I got in one of his shirts and got in the bed.
Me and Steve were facing each other in bed.
"Steve?"
"Ya?"
"Thanks for taking care of me. And I'm sorry about Nancy." I think he forgot about her until I reminded him.
"It's, fine. It's fine."
We both fell asleep after that. The next morning when I woke up I couldn't see Steve in the bed. I went downstairs to see him cooking breakfast.
"Oh hey y/n glad your up!"
"Hey..."
"Do you remember last night?" He asked
"Um kinda..."
"Good. Well we leave to school in and hour."
"Oh shit."
"What?"
"Billy! I didn't leave with him last night or even come home! He's gonna murder me!"
"I won't let him hurt you."
