Grey woke to hushed whispers.
Of Vincent? And others?
Her eyes snapped open accordingly and she swallowed the gravel in her voice as she spoke, "How'd you find me?"
"By miracle. We tracked your phone through Snapchat. Your location was switched on." Shane replied, a frown on his face.
"Cool."
"How'd you feel?" Aaren looked teary faced and super worried. Her fingers gently squeezed Grey's wrist.
"Cool. Tell me you didn't call my parents."
Aaren sighed, "We didn't."
"You didn't?" Grey, all but shouted. Grey was in Shane's and Sawyer's apartment, on Sawyer's messy bed, her friends looking at her worriedly or with contained anger, she didn't give a shit, hanging on for her dear life. And they didn't seem to care to inform her parents about it. She thought, Da fuck?
"The wound on your neck isn't too deep, you witch plus bitch. It ain't gonna kill you, unfortunately. So chill. My father just did you a favour of dressing it good and tight. Though he should have squeezed it tigh-"
"Save me the speech, Vin-viper. And get out of my sight. Your unholy presence scratches the wrong part of my brain." Grey flipped him the bird, stretched a little to accommodate better, searched for something in her pocket, and flicked him the 50 cent coin, adding, "For your extended courtesy. Buy your parents something. Kay?"
"Guys, can we focus?" Aaren snapped and turned to Grey, "Grey, he's right though. Your wound was nothing but a small incision, it would definitely leave a mark but no blood was lost or serious damage was done."
"Yeah you're fine." Shane said.
"Yeah", nodded Sawyer, "Although the doctor did imply it to be confusing that you fainted. He ruled it out as shock otherwise I guess you're good to go."
"The fuck you guys going on about? My throat was practically ripped out by a carnivorous animal. A fucking wolf. And you guys keep saying it's fine. I should be dead. No cap." Grey was flabbergasted. She touched the base of her throat over the banded area, where the wound was, and it warmed under her touch. Her throat was still sore though. It should have hurt like a bitch. Should have killed her right then and there. What the heck happened?
"Oh my god. This isn't happening." She voiced out loud.
"God, you're such a Leo." She looked at Sawyer.
"Shut up, Sawyer. I went out there for my assignment. I was looking for ideas when this grey wolf caught my eye. And as stupid as I am, I clicked pictures of it, knowing that it could kill me. And so it did. Lmao, I am such a ninny. But look here I am. Undead." Grey blinked several times. The guys and the girls blinked more.
"She must have hit her head hard." Adam said, quietly.
"Have you gone insane?"
"Huh."
"You little bitches. Where is my camera? It has pictures." Grey asked in great annoyance.
Shane shifted and retrieved something from the closet. "Here."
Grey switched on the camera. Pressed on the arrow below to sift through the pictures. But, nothing. 'Insert a Card.'
"Da fuck." She exclaimed. "Where's my card?" She checked the back side but her card wasn't there.
She closed her eyes and breathed deep. It must have gotten lost or..
She didn't entertain that thought. Her imagination would someday drive her mad.
She took few more breaths and tried to get up. Her legs felt weak but she could manage. She walked in front of a mirror and examined her neck. I'll remove the bandage later to check, she thought to herself.
"Fine then. It's nothing." She flailed her arms to her sides and let it slap her thighs. "Thankyou very much for looking out for me guys. I couldn't ask for more. But I gotta go now. I'll see you guys soon. Thanks again." She left the room.

Later that night, in her apartment, Grey was deep in thought when her crazy thoughts striked her again. She let them entertain her.
Naked man? The second wolf? The size of that wolf? It wasn't normal.
Could it be that her desire of finding such anomaly in the real world was coming true? Could it be that the books on her shelf were coming to life? Could it be that as the quote by Shadowhunters goes, 'All stories are true' was not just a quote but the inevitable truth?
Well, could it be that what she saw was a werewolf?
