Chapt 16: I'll Always Protect You

(Still Dark's POV)
Let's just say me and Link didn't do a very good job of staying hidden. Because sooner then we knew it, we were being chased by Gerudo soldiers. Then faster than a blink of a eyes we were cornered. Me and Link drew our swords and the head soldier came out of the crowd.

"Well well well, look who it is" she said, "it's the Hero of Time and Dark Link, and what is suprising is that they're working TOGETHER!"

"Where is (y/n)?!" I growled.

"That's for me to know and you to find out" she taunted.

Link nudged my back with his elbow, since we were back to back, trying to get my attention. I looked over my shoulder to see what he wanted.

"You get yourself out of here and I'll hold them off" he whispered.

"You sure you'll be okay?" I asked.

"I'll be fine" he replied, "I've been through way worse situations."

I nodded my head. That's when Link took out his hook shot and secretly handed it to me. Link yelled out a battle cry and charged the soldiers, while I shot a hook shot target and flew off. The head guard cursed as I flew off.

I flew to a near by roof top and looked back at link, he was really kicking butt. I felt like he would be fine and continued my way to Ganondorf's palace.

~time skip~

I managed to make my way to the roof of the palace and I was trying to find a way in. I found a open window that led to who knows where and jumped in without even thinking.

When I jumped in the window I immediately heard a scream. I jerked my head towards the sound and saw a Gerudo in a corner holding a broom, she wasn't wearing the soldiers uniform so she must have been a cook or something. She held out the broom like a sword, trying to protect herself and spoke.

"W-what are doing here?" she studdered, "you shouldn't b-be here!"

I walked over to here, and to my surprise, she hit me with the broom!

"OW! Hey what was that for?!" I yelled out.

"Answer the question!" She yelled more confidently.

"I'm here to get (y/n) back" I answered.

She gave me a stern look and looked into my eyes, then her stern look melted into a caring look.

"I didn't think you'd actually come after her like she said you would" she said caringly, "but your eyes tell me that you love her and you're telling the truth."

I looked at her dumbfounded.

"Can you help me?" I asked.

"Of course" She said kindly, "follow me."

I followed her out of the room, which turned out to be kitchen, and walked down the hallway.

"Hey" I suddenly said, "who are you?"

"My name is Nia" she answered looking over her shoulder, "I guess you can say me and (y/n) became close friends while you were gone."

Nia led me into Ganondorf's throne room which was completely empty. Ganondorf must have found out Link was here and left to fight him. Nia walked over to a torch on a wall and pulled it, revealing a secret passage way, the entrance to the dungeon.

We walked down the long stairway, and when we reached the bottom, she pushed on a out of place rock in the wall, which revealed ANOTHER secret passage way. Ganondorf never told me about this one!

"This is where Ganondorf keeps all his prisoners that he he truly doesn't want to escape" she said as we walked down the unfamiliar hallway.

"Ganondorf never told me about this place" I grumbled unhappily.

"He probably didn't trust you completely" she said.

"So how do you know about this place?" I asked.

"I followed Ganondorf down here" she replied, "so now I take care of (y/n) every time they torture her."

"THEY DID WHAT!!!!?" I yelled out in anger after I heard that there have been torturing (y/n)!

Nia didn't respond, but she did bow her head in sadness. Soon after, she stopped in her tracks, turned around, and handed me a key. I gave her a confused look.

"I should really go back" she said, "take these keys and continue walking down this hallway, you should come straight to (y/n)'s cell."

I took the keys and she walked back up the stairs. When I was sure she was gone, I took of running towards (y/n)'s cell.

~time skip~

"(Y/N) WHERE ARE YOU!!!" I yelled running through the dungeon.

Apparently Nia lied to me because the place was a complete maze. They dungeon path had split in two where Nia had told me (y/n) would be and I couldn't find her any where!

I rounded a corner and ran past a cell with a girl in it...WAIT A MINUTE!!! I quickly turned around and looked in the cell, the girl was (y/n)! I unlocked the door faster than lightning and rushed over to her body.

I cupped her face in my hands, her eyes were closed, she was sleeping. My eyes widened at all the cuts and bruises on her face. I gently kissed her cheek and she began to stir. I smiled as her beautiful (e/c) fluttered open.

"Good morning princess" I whispered.

She gasped and her eyes widened.

"D-Dark?!"

"The one and only" I joked.

Tears soon poured down her beautiful face.

"Ssshhhh, it's okay, I'm here now" I whispered wiping away her tears.

"I was so scared!" She cried.

"I know, but you're okay now and I promise I won't let any one hurt you any more." I reassured her, moving a strand of hair out of her face.

I took out another key and quickly unlocked the chains on her wrists. When they were off, she jumped straight into my arms and cried in my chest. I wrapped one around her and used the other one to rub her back to calm her down. I whispered sweet, reassuring words in her ear and she began to calm down.

When she was calm, she looked up from my chest and looked into my eyes. We sat there staring at each other for a few minutes, until (y/n) began to lean in and I did the same until our lips touched.

It was a sweet, passionate kiss that lasted forever. When it ended, it left me wanting more. I moved her into my lap so her cheek was on my chest and she was still looking at me.

"I love you...Dark" she said causing my heart to flutter with happiness.

I leaned down so our noses were touching and I closed my eyes. " I love you too, my princess."
