Inside the base

The two guards towers over the paladins they were not quite as tall as Ulaz but could still easily crush one of the paladins by accidentally stepping on them. Both guards side eyed the paladins as they walked past probably out of curiosity but they all still shivered at the yellow pupil-less eyes following them past. A huge sigh let out as they finally passed them and entered the base.

The corridor was wide and it had bright lights ,also like leds, running along the sides of the room. There were cabinets on all sides and many galra of different shapes and sizes were chatting and playing.

The place felt surprisingly peaceful, all galra made sure to be respectful and moved to the side to make way for others and minded their manners when another galra ran into them.

Most galra were in separate groups almost like something you'd see in a highschool cafeteria yet they all seemed to be pleasant to others.

The look on Alluras face surprised the paladins, she looked shocked almost as in to say 'how could the galra possibly be so docile'. None of them could really blame her as so far their experiences with the galra had not been so pleasant.

Ulaz suddenly let out a gasp as his eyes met with another much larger galra along the hall. The large galra turned at this to face them, his ears twitching at the sound, his face morphed very quickly from confused to overwhelming happiness.

'ULAZ'

The large galra set off sprinting down the hall towards Ulaz and brought him into a hug, both had tears in their eyes.

'Umm are we umm interpreting something here-'

Alluras voice makes them both jump and the two emotional galra turn to her.

'Right sorry, this is my husband Antok, Antok this is the paladins of voltron'

The paladins all give of a smile and reply with an awkward 'hi'

'OMG the legends are true! When I was a kid i use to scoff to that story and cry nonsense whenever someone would talk about it haha if only I could go back and tell my younger self now huh!! It's amazing to meet you' The galra gives a big smile and shows of his fangs, the paladins would normally be scared by now but this large galra seemed to be nothing more than a big puppy he was almost cute even.

Shiro decides to speak up for once,
'It's nice to meet you Antok, I'm Shiro, the one in blue is Lance, green is Pidge, yellow is Hunk and Pink is Allura'

They all do a little wave after their name except Allura who is looking nervously around the corridor.

'Well I do believe I have to get the Paladins to the meeting room, butttt maybe after we can go and eat lunch together?'

Ulaz blushes at his own words and Antok hugs his partner and whispers something in his ear before turning to the paladins, waving and then promptly makes his way to the lunch hall to get him and his partner some food.

'Sorry for that disturbance, it has been so long since I had seen him, I apologise'

'It's ok, I think we all understand how important the people close to us are..'

Shiro gives Pidge a rub on the back after that and they all nodded in agreement. Ulaz smiles and then turns to the corridor once again.

'I shall now take you to the room you will be in, there will be our leader there and also a couple of commanders, all guards will wait outside but if called they will immediately rush in and surround you so be careful about what you say and do (they all gulp at that), not to worry though our leader is kind but very stubborn he might possibly ask for proof of skill for the alliance, he probably won't doubt what you say but he still believes having strong allies are better'
