Everything was dark around me but instead of fear I felt relief, the pain in my chest from not being able to breathe vanished. I felt at ease with my current situation and it almost felt as if I was floating. There was no sound, no light, just a calming darkness that enveloped everything. Not being able to see or hear anything, not knowing which direction was up or down, left or right, should have been terrifying but instead I was calm and at ease. If this was what death was like then I didn't know why so many people were afraid of it, this was nice. Flashes of light sprung up everywhere around me and soon everywhere I looked reminded me of the night sky. The billions of lights darted across the vast darkness and if I focused on them they twinkled. As I looked on some lights began to dash in and out of my field of vision like shooting stars. Suddenly I felt some unknown force tugging me along and all I could do was lay back and watch as the lights, which I had accepted as stars, disappeared and new ones replaced them. Soon I began seeing planets and moons as well, all of various shapes and sizes.
Suddenly I fell and landed on something hard, banging my head in the process. Cursing at the abrupt pain I rubbed the back of my head which had taken the brunt of the fall. When I reopened my eyes and got a good look around I noticed that I was sitting on some sort of platform that was suspended in space. The floor looked as if it were made out of marble or granite, and it had an ornate design to it much like one you would see in a fancy hotel. Along either side of me were towering statues of both men and women all carved out of the same stone that the floor was made of. There were eight statues in total, four on either side of me and they all seemed to be holding something different. I stood up and walked over to the nearest statue and investigated it. It was of a woman holding what seemed to be a cornucopia filled with food. There was a plaque near the bottom of the statue but it was in a language I've never seen before, with fanciful swirls that led into the next letter.
"That's the earth mother Vida" said a soft voice directly from behind me. I jumped and turned around to face the person who spoke. What I was met with took my breath away, what stood before me was an angel. She had long flowing blonde hair that seemed to shine in the star light, and on top of her head rested a small glowing halo. Near her hips sprang two fluffy white wings that reminded me of doves or swans. She wore a loose one piece dress that stopped just above the knees, and white sandals that had straps leading up to just above her ankle. She smiled at me and any panic that I had felt moments ago vanished and I was instead filled with a fuzzy warm feeling.
"Umm... Hi" I said tentatively
"Hello Patrick, nice to finally meet you, though I do wish it were under better circumstances." she replied, with a warm smile.
"How do you know my name, where am I, what are you, who are these stat.." I started.
She put up her hand to stop me from talking and spoke in a calming voice. "I know you have a lot of questions but for now let's get you dressed or do you intend to have a conversation with no clothes on?"
I looked down and immediately rushed to cover myself, averting my eyes from the angel and blushing while doing so. "Umm yeah sure let's do that first." She snapped her fingers and a wardrobe appeared in front of me and upon opening it I saw a slew of plain clothes. After picking out an outfit and getting dressed the wardrobe disappeared and in its place was a small café style table with two chairs and a teapot sitting in the middle of the table. The angel was sitting down and leisurely enjoying a cup of tea while she waited for me to sit. Gingerly I took my seat and waited for her to speak.
"Not going to have any tea? You sure, not many people have the opportunity to drink tea made by an angel" she said while placing her cup down on the table.
