After the battle with osial Aether and Paimon decided to look for Xiao as they want to thank him for saving Aether's life.They went to wangshu inn in the hopes of maybe finding him there.As they arrived Aether asked the inn keeper if Xiao is in the inn,the inn keeper then told them that he was at Jueyun Karst dealing with monsters there.Aether then went to Jueyun karst.There they saw Xiao killing a bunch of hilichurls,they approached him.
Paimon:Hi Xiao!!
Xiao:Huh?oh its you.What brings you here?
Paimon:uhh we just wanted to thank you for saving the travelers life! Paimon was so worried!
Xiao: Oh so thats what you're here for? Hmph we yakshas are just here to save and protect,nothing else.Need not thank me as it was my duty.
Aether:Well ,still thank you....
Paimon: Yeah ! Paimon Would be very sad if the traveler dies.....
Xiao:Its fine as i said,well i suppose your objective here is done?Ill be taking my leave now.
Aether: WAIT! Before you go can i meet you later in wangshu inn?
Xiao:.....Ofcourse...
Aether:Well then I look forward to it! See ya!
Xiao:goodbye
Xiao Leaves
Paimon:what was that about?
Aether:oh nothing just wanted to talk to him later
Paimon:Ooooh...Are you sure just talk? :3
Aether:YES PAIMON NOW SHUT UP!
Aether cant help but blush.As his companion just smugly laughs internally.
Paimon:Well ill leave you for that im just gonna be in liyue harbor!Find paimon there if your done ok?
Aether:oh ok..Ye
Paimon:Well ill go to liyue harbor now and you go to wangshu inn! See ya Aether!
Aether:See ya
After they part ways,Aether was deep in thought while walking to wangshu inn.He was thinking of what to say to Xiao.After figuring out he decided to walk faster.Finally he arrived,he went up to go to the rooftop.Surprisingly Xiao was there waiting.
Aether: Hi Xiao!
Xiao:Hi,so what did you want to talk about?
Aether:Uhh....I just wanted to spend time with you! cause i really want to thank you for saving me..
Xiao:*sigh*I already said its fine It is my duty no need to thank me...
Aether: Well I guess I just really am thankful for saving me....hehe..
Xiao: Ok i accept your gratefulness...just becareful next time...please
Aether:Yeah I will!
Xiao: so is that all?
Aether:No not yet,theres 1 more,I want to ask.....can i stay here with you tonight?Even for just this night,pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssseeee?
Xiao:Fine you can,but why?
Aether:Nothing i just want to spend time with you thats all....
Xiao:Weird....but ok you can stay...
Aether:YAY!!THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Xiao:yeah,yeah....
At night
Aether was just staring thru the sky as Xiao approached him.He was a little nervous coming close to him,as he feels like he might get uncomfortable.
Xiao:You seem to be pre occupied...what are you thinking?
Aether jumps as he got frightened
Aether:WOAH!oh! Xiao....
Xiao:You seemed to be preoccupied why is that?
Aether:Oh its nothing its just that I miss my sister...
Xiao:Oh....that must be hard....
Aether:Yeah....i really want to see her again...
Xiao thought of giving him a hug.He was shocked that he can think that way.A yaksha that has lived for thousands of centuries,is capable of being soft.He stopped thinking that,but the temptation of wanting to comfort the guy next to him was too strong.
Xiao:Uhh.....you can rest in my arms if you want....
Aether:Really?
Xiao:yeah...just dont tell this to anyone...last thing i know is them nagging me about it...
Aether:Thanks Xiao!
Aether rested in Xiao's arms.They both watched as the night sky's stars bright and glow.Xiao felt at ease after hugging Aether.Aether felt comfortable and content by Xiao's hug.After a while Aether thought saying his feelings to Xiao,but he didnt want to get rejected.
'Come on just tell him what you feel! Youll lose out if dont tell him now! If he feels the same,thats good.If he doesnt feel the same way,Ill just leave him alone and give him space...'
Aether was trying to think of a way to say it.After a minute,he finally knew how to tell him.He was nervous,he kept praying to the archons of Xiao having feelings for him too.And after he prayed,He just realized,How can a yaksha that doesnt know how feelings work understand what he is saying? Let alone answer it.But he didnt give up and went on with his plan.
Aether:Uhmmm....Xiao?
Xiao:hm?
Aether:Uhmm...I wanna tell you something...
Xiao:What is it?
Aether:um....well....yknow after we met I was looking at you?I was..um..I felt something about you..my heart raced after you made contact with my eyes...And after that I've been thinking what this is...and I now know the answer...I...I LIKE YOU XIAO!.
Xiao was stunned.There was an akward silence enveloping them.Aether was bright red,He just confessed! he is just waiting for Xiao's answer now.After a couple of mins Xiao decided to talk.
Xiao:Huh?you...Like me....?
Aether:yes...*blushing*
Xiao:uhm....Is this what i have been feeling whenever im with you?
Aether:Huh?you feel the same way...?
Xiao:I dont know....But I've always felt something whenever im around you...It feels like the world stopped,only your the one i can see and feel,and whenever i talk with you,i get this feeling in my stomach.....I dont know how to describe it deeper...
Aether:Really?
Xiao:Yeah....
Aether:Im so glad!...I thought you didnt feel anything when were together...eheh..
Xiao: So this is what Love feels like?....If so,Im happy to feel it with you..
Aether:yeah,me too!Ehehh...so...does that mean you can be my boyfriend...?
Xiao:Boyfriend?
Aether:Yeah like a couple...
Xiao: oh...well....yeah,i guess...
Aether:YAY! that makes me so happy! I finally have you .....
Xiao:Me too....Anyways what are we gonna do now..?
Aether:uhhh....can we sleep together like this?
Xiao:Sure...if thats what you want,I cant see any reason to refuse..come on lets lay down and rest...
Aether:Yay thank you...'Finally i have you...Im so happy'
Xiao and Aether was both genuinely happy.They let the night pass as they rested.After which they cuddled to sleep.
