For this plan to work, I'd need alcohol. I didn't have any, but thankfully my parents kept bottles of Soju in the fridge. Next, I'd need something toxic to humans. Something that can be called an accident and won't be easily traced back to anyone specifically. Even better, if I could get my hands on his card, then maybe I could purchase something under his name that was poisonous. That way, it'll look like a suicide.
The only issue with that though is getting his card where there are no security cameras. Where can I do that? An ally? Why would he go there unless he smokes? He might, he had cigarette stains on his teeth and his hands looked really... smudgey.
The elevator.
The elevator doesn't have security cameras in it! Next time I see him go in, which is pretty often, I'll just go inside as well. Let's hope he keeps his wallet in his back pocket.
It might need to hold off until tomorrow. I believe he leaves at around 9-10 am for work, so I just need to be downstairs and ready to run at 8:50. While I'm waiting, I need to do drug research to find out which one would be best.
A heavy breath left my mouth. Pulling out my laptop from my school bag, I began to search about drugs, carefully typing and wording my questions before hitting the enter button.
A dissociative or a depressant would be best. Psychedelics could work too, as long as he doesn't have mood swings that result in violence, or any happiness whatsoever. I need to find a drug that is easy to purchase, non-detectable, and deprives him of every last pleasure in his body.
Alcohol is already a depressant. Might as well go with a dissociative. Psychedelics might cause him to freak out too much if he doesn't die after the overdose. Judging by how much liquor he drinks in a day, and considering his health right now, he'll be dead within hours after drinking the poisoned beverage.
However, mixing a depressant with another depressant like Benzodiazepines has a higher chance of causing the user to die. Let's look through the dissociative's page real quick.
Ketamine- A dissociative drug that can come in different forms. Side effects to using this include: Loss of coordination, seizures, Nauseous, Hallucinations, Kidney damage, Overdose & death, and more...
This sounds good enough. If I can find it in syrup or liquid form, I'll just mix in an unhealthy amount. Soju is like a sweeter version of vodka, so it shouldn't be very detectable. He's Korean though, so he's probably had Soju. It most likely won't be questioned. He probably even bought Soju before, which makes it even better. Just to make sure, I need to read the signs of overdose.
Sighs include: Vomiting, Slowed or quickened heartbeat, Irregular or shallow breathing, Unconsciousness, or even death if not used safely.
Perfect. Where can I get this? I need to-
"AHHHHHH!" I bloody murder scream broke out underneath me. It was Yumi! I got up as quick as soon as it processed in my brain.
"Did you hear that?" I caught Umma asking the family before she followed her question up with "Seungmin-ah, where are you going?"
Without responding, I left the apartment hastily. The elevator would take too much time, instead i jumped down the stairs like a flying squirrel jumping from tree to tree. I promised to protect her. I'm not going to break it. Not again.
As soon as my feet landed on the 6th floor, I raced to her apartment door. Then, I pounded on the door. Just so he'd know that her torture was obvious and audible within the building. Steady your breathing Seungmin! HE'S COMING! I took a deep breath in, then out.
The door opened ominously, which filled me with a bad feeling. Behind the door Mr. Choi stood there, looking back as if checking his background for anything suspicious before turning to me. He seemed surprised to see me.
"Oh, it's you again, Kid. What do you want!? It's 10 o'clock at night," His voice sent the message clearly to me that he didn't want me there.
"I heard a scream. Where is she?" Frick. Bad move- I think I just blew my cover. Now he probably won't trust me. It'll be fine, I can do this without his trust.
He had a face that was screaming 'oh crap, I'm in trouble'. "W-Who are you talking about?"
I stared him dead in the eyes, silently threatening him, trying to pressure him into telling me the truth. The emotion in my eyes disappeared, they went cold yet still blazing with anger, occasionally flickering between that and something that felt emotionless. I'm serious. So he better stop playing these damn games with me.
"Yumi," My voice flatlined as if it were my heart a few minutes before running down here.
"I'm afraid she's dead," My expression sank, my eyes now fully showing no emotion
Dead...? No, no- he's lying. She couldn't have died. I swear she was at the hospital! Nevertheless, even if she was dead... it was still my mission to kill him at all costs. For Yumi.
"I know she's alive. I heard what happened," I defended.
The pissed off man was now sad. His emotions switched up quicker than Ariana Grande switchin' up positions. Tears formed in his eyes. he wiped them away though, trying to act as if he was actually hurt.
"H-How could you? I am a man who has just experienced one of the worst losses a father could experience, and you're going to accuse me of something I didn't do!? M-My precious daughter is gone now!" He cried falsely, adding a couple of sniffles in just to make it seem more realistic.
I have half a mind to barge in and check for myself. Actually, on second thought, I could use this as a second chance so he doesn't suspect anything. In addition to that, he'll start believing that I'm gullible and will let his guard down more around me. Heh. Perfect.
"Y-Yumi.... so she's really... d-dead..?" I stammered. He'd never catch on, it sounded too real. I have to use as much real emotion as I can, therefore, I have to play along as if she's actually dead. The thought of her being gone forever made me want to cry, which was perfect.
A type of depressed feeling filled me, making my heart ache. I missed her so much, I never want her to leave. 'Why did she have to go?'
The old man nodded his head. Falling for my trap, he asked me a question. "So how did you know Yumi?"
"School. I never really spoke to her but I've always felt bad since she doesn't speak with anyone," I avoid the question easily in a way that neither of us got into trouble.
He seemed to ponder my answer a bit before asking me one last thing. "You've got a name, kid?"
I nodded. "Seungmin. Kim Seungmin,"
