"Good morning" Peter greeted as brightly as someone who got three hours of sleep and managed to squeeze in a toast into his day, can.

"Woof" was the reply from the batista who he grew to have a personal connection with how often he came to the café. She didnt say another thing, simply beguinning on his "death juice" as she once stated- a beverage saved up for moments like these (which occurred more often than not).

Peter payed for his coffee before migrating to his usual seat, on the left side balcony facing the windows, where there was an outlet perfect for his laptop and phone in case each needed charging.

It was no later that Luciana placed a tall cup of coffee and sat besides him with her own 'death juice' (as Peter called it himself) which was really an overly sweet drink with a few shots of coffee- She insisted that someone had introduced her to the 'beauty' that is "Cara-berry", a mix of coffee with caramel and strawberry syrups, only that they had asked for it with less coffee ("and a bendy straw but we didn't have that").

With a small "Thank you" Peter began to type at his latest work, wanting to finish as soon as possible as he knows his heroing buissness will make it so he barely makes it to the deadline or, worse, not give a change to hand in his work.

He was vaguely aware of his small talk with the barista besides him, too focused on typing to pay proper attention- but Luciana knew that, she seemed to talk about nonsense, things that didn't require actual thinking unlike their famous "sad-boi hours" where Peter comes just in time the shop closes.

Peter still recalls arriving all bruised and battered, praying that one coffee shop was still open with wi-fi he could borrow until he came along this one. Seeing the lights still on he burst through, he knew his state was bad because Luciana, who didn't seem shaken by anything, dropped the mop that was in her hand with wide eyes behind her glasses.
None of it mattered anyway because Luciana had just happened to be blaring Deadpool's new album which got a very sleep deprived Peter Parker to blurt out "You like deadpool too?!" With a manic look in the eye (he knows that because his spidey sense tingled as Luciana widened her stance).

After that the two began to talk some touchy feely things or just world problems- their talks were always heavy and when not it was mostly because they were talking about their idol, Deadpool.

"Welcome" Luciana's voice called as the bell rang to a new costumer, he was in a wheel chair and carried a heavy scent of smoke- Peter had seen him a few times before, he seemed to dislike Luciana while she seemed to love the guy- he never understood why as the two were always bantering and calling eachother names.

However, Peter had never seen the other wear the awesome Deadpool hoodie he had at the moment.

"What's his problem?" The man asked, bringing his wheelchair close to one of the tables "also get your ass up, I need coffee" he turns to Luciana

"He's looking at you with those puppy eyes, isn't he?" She asks without turning to Peter, tapping along at her screen "He's a die hard fan of Deadpool- Pp hard and all fan" she says

"What?!" Peter shrieks, face getting hot "No, I'm not! I just like his music" he huffs, embarrassed

"Yep" she nods sagely "he likes the music and how seductive that beast of a man's voice is" she looks off into the distance as if looking upon a rising sun and while Peter wanted to say something against it, he held back because the man nodded along her wise words.

"Not a big fan" the man says with despite wearing the damned hoodie Peter has been saving up for "but his music is pretty good"

"I like your hoodie" Peter finally says, smiling shyly but his eyes still sparkled at finding someone else who likes the same things as him

"Oh, cheers" the other says with a lazy smile just as Luciana stands to make coffee

"Seriously, I should post somewhere that this is a Deadpool coffee club" she hums as she begins on the man's drink "would get noisy but give me money I desperately need"

"As if you need such things" the man huffed, seeming amused for a short moment

"Would be cool, right Peterpool?" She asks him, seeming to grin at Peter's reaction to the name

"Peterpool?" The stranger asked, looking up at Peter who had his nose scrunched in confusion himself

"Actually, Doug" Luciana sang, strolling towards them and placing the coffee on the table before the man, Doug "One of Peter's friends came by and told me that he writes music himself"

Oh No

"Which- I'm wounded, really, Peter" she pouts at him "Can't believe you didn't tell me- I'd follow even if it was crap... would tell you if it was crap too"

Peter's face is red, he knows, and he is glaring down at Luciana but she seems unaware that its supposed to shut her up because she keeps going

"He posts these snippets of OG songs on his account" she turns to Doug who doesn't seem uninterested but not as invested as Luciana seems to be "Mostly guitar and music sheets- what was your username again?" She begins to pull out her phone and suddenly Peter hates the small alien keyring that hangs off it, waving almost mockingly.

"MJ" Peter grumbled, shoulders rising with embarrassment and grumpiness

"What does MJ stand for?" Doug asked

"What?" Luciana looked up "no- I'm pretty sure it was something else"

"It was MJ who told you, wasn't it?" Peter asked accusingly, frowning when she only shrugged in response.

MJ's and Peter's relationship was a weird one.
They had been neighbours since young and Peter always thought she was pretty- that's as far as it went until high school where he started wishing for a bit more.
MJ hadn't shown any interest in him, though... Not until he became Spiderman- That's when the two began dating.

Needless to say, it didn't go well.

Peter was too busy; balancing relationships, school, jobs and Spiderman buissness, made him bone tired- too tired for a sixteen year old.

MJ, unused to the different relationship, grew jealous of the attention Peter gave the city and the city gave him. She had been greatly upset and the dam broke when she got fired from her job at her theatre on the show Peter didn't make it to.

There were arguments, many which Peter blamed himself and begged her to stay but the moment she came running back, he came to the realisation that it wasn't what he wanted... that all this time he had wished to be like her instead of with her.

It was weird.

With both butt hurt with eachother's actions in their younger days, none spoke to one another until a few years ago when they met at a bar and got drunk-
MJ apologised for all her mistakes and actions. after getting a boyfriend that gave her the same treatment she gave Peter, and Peter apologised for leading her on as well as not giving the time she deserved.

Then she puked and Peter took her home where he found she played this online game he played and asked for her username until- yeah. Until they came to this.

So weird friendship.

"You mean the red head that looked like a little devil when she told me your username after finding out we know each other?" Luciana said as she began to stand, bell ringing a second later as if she expected it

"Yes" Peter hissed

"Huh" she circled back behind the counter "haven't got a clue" then, just because the world seemed to hate him, his song began playing on the speakers of the café.

With wide eyes he turned to Luciana, who simply was taking the order of the new costumer and Peter could just see two little red horns on her head when she grinned and winked at him.

Gaping, Peter turned back to his laptop and hid his face in his hands out of embarrassment, pulling his phone out to send a simple text to MJ

"I hate you"
