Hiding from you

Chapter 7

One week has passed and they still never found out I'm a girl, which is a good, but I just hope they don't find out soon. I've been finding food around the town making sure they don't want to fight for it, then I take it. I take all the food to the house, then I try to see what I can make out of it. I've been cooking for the guys to make sure they don't want me out of here before a year. I've been hanging out with Marco and Josh too. They aren't that bad. Marco is much more cuter than being mean... Wait! WHAT!!! WHY DID I JUST SAY THAT!? SLAP! I feel so stupid. Anyway just pretend you didn't hear that ( or how you look at it, read that ). I found out more about Josh and Marco like why they live in this old house. They said that if you live out there, people can fight you for your house and everything in it. They can even take people inside the house. Marco said he wasn't going to make that sacrifice in losing Josh. So that's why they live here where no one can find them. I want to ask more questions like, if they can like their own kind like in the girls world or if they make their own stuff too? But I'm afraid if I ask to many questions like these that they are going to find out I'm a girl. So I'll just keep my mouth shut... "Hey guys, food is ready!" I heard loud foot steps coming from their room. They ran out the room and sat down in front of the table. I grabbed their food but right when I got there... Crash! There was broken table pieces everywhere. I knew that was going to happen. "Aww man! Big bro, I thought you said you were going to fix it." Marco looked at Josh. "Hey I'm sorry but I never had the time." I placed the food on their laps. "Sigh go to your rooms. I'll pick up the mess and fix the table." Marco looked at me and placed his food on the ground. "No no I'm not letting you do that Ash. You've helped us so much and I'm starting to feel bad." I bent down and started to pick up the pieces. "Its no trouble really." While I was picking up the wooden pieces I got a splinter on my left hand. "Oww!" Marco looked at me. "Are you okay?" He bent down grabbed my hand, then looked at me. We both made eye contact and I started to blush very bad... It was so embarrassing. Marco began to blush and then he let go of my hand. "Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" "Its...umm it's okay. We're fine- I mean I'm fine." He gets up and rubs the back of his neck. "I'll go get something for that." He walked off with Josh following behind him. Hmm, what just happened back there. I felt something like I... never mind I'll just ignore it.

"Hey Jennifer, have you seen Ashley?" Ugh again with that question! Why does everyone ask me anyway? "Has the news not pass on?" The girl looked at me confused. "What news?" I turned my head towards her. "She died." The girls face was terrified. "What do you mean she died?" I turned to her. "I saw it myself. It was horrible. I was walking outside the day the portal opened. Just enjoying the outside weather. Then I saw Ashley walk in the main garden. I followed her inside without her knowing. Then she stopped in front of the portal." The girl covers her mouth with her hand. "She turned and saw me," I continued, "and I asked her what she was doing. She told me that she never had friends, no beauty, and that I'm even lucky enough to be beautiful. So she jumped in." The girl grabbed me by the shoulders. "But she could still be alive right?" I shook my head. "I'm sorry but no one can get out of there alive." The girl started to cry. "But she was beautiful. She was the most beautiful girl ANYONE had ever seen. Everyone didn't want to talk to her because, we thought she was too cool for us. I regret it." The girl runs off crying. I began to smile. OMG that felt so good. Watching her cry was the best thing I ever seen. Now... let's see what else I can do.
