"Excuse me, are you the Eurovision team?" she asked on the phone.

"Yes, what's the problem?"

"I'm sorry but I received a letter with invitation to your song contest, and I didn't even qualify nor had the intention to go there! It should be to another person right?" she said.

"Send us an email with your name and address and we'll figure it out" they explained.

She did as they said, now she needed to wait for the response. In the meantime she was preparing for her well deserved break, packing her things and checking plane tickets. "Tickets to Italy are super cheap now, maybe I should go there" she said while a notification popped up on her phone. It was an email from the ESC team. She wasn't hesitating to open it since she knew that it was a mistake anyways and it has been solved by now. She was in a shock when she opened it, it turned out it wasn't a mistake. They said she was indeed invited to have  a performance during the finals in Turin. They stated that she was invited since they needed a replacement for their local singer who fell ill, and she was the person whose songs were getting more popular in Italy recently.
"Okay, so I'm going to Italy after all, whether I like it or not" she said.
And it's true, she didn't even want to go there. All that she wanted after weeks of intermittent concerts was a holidays where she could forget about the fame that has been overwhelming for her lately. She started packing since the ESC was to be just few days away. She had to go alone, her friends have already went on holidays. It was more than scary for her, her English wasn't good either, adding to that having to meet complete strangers as she didn't know anyone there.
The next day she took a flight to Turin and find herself a hotel to stay in. She already knew which song she had to perform but it all seemed very uncomfortable for her. The thought of being around completely strangers backstage, performing for the whole Europe, and having to stay there instead of relaxing was too much for her. She decided to give up so she wrote an email with an apology and a note that she can't perform. Unfortunately for her, it was impossible now and she was told now there's no turning back. She decided to spend her days before the performance sightseeing Turin. Finally the big day came and she had to head to the arena and face her fears. She went there backstage and already felt anxious, there were so many people, she didn't even know the Lithuanian participant Monika Liu. She saw people talking about random stuff, like for example that 'they need to fix the sun' and felt super confused.

"What are those people, I wish I never even came here" she said.

She saw though that one of the people from the group was a gorgeous black haired woman. She couldn't help but look at her. She didn't want to seem too creepy though so she decided to focus on practicing. The whole final started and she felt a rush of anxiety. What if the viewers hate her performance? What if something goes wrong? After all it was much different than her usual concerts in Lithuania. She couldn't help but sat on the floor and started crying uncontrollably. Suddenly she heard a female voice near her :

"Are you okay?"
