Chapter IV - Facing it all

They arrived at the hotel and quickly went into the room.

"Do you want some tea or something else?" Džordana offered to a very tired and exhausted Ana.

"Yes, coffee please, otherwise I'll fall asleep right here, right now"

The Lithuanian prepared the desired beverage and brought it to Ana, and they started discussing private life as if they have known each other for a very long time.

"So Ana, you seem sad, you mentioned that no one cares about you and you're just a number for them, why is that so?"

"I'm sorry it's too hard for me, I don't know if I can say" Ana said almost crying.

"Okay, you don't have to if you're not comfortable, I mean we barely know each other, sorry if I made you feel bad", the blonde one said.

Ana held back her tears and finally decide to speak as she saw how much Džordana cared about her even tho they didn't know each other for long.

"After I participated in ESC, people treat me as a number in a way they care only about points, streams, and similar stuff...Can you believe no one asked me how I was during the whole ESC experience?"

Ana knew she had to be strong and not show too many emotions but it was very hard for her.

"My life kinda sucks now, but you won't probably understand, sorry" she said and couldn't hold her tears any longer. She burst out crying and Dž hugged her once again and promised she'll understand anything she was about to say.

"But you don't understand, I have a husband and kids!!" she said.

Džordana was confused.

"That's great for you, I also have a husband, no kids tho, what I wouldn't understand?" she asked Ana who was still sobbing in her arms.

"Yes but...I don't think I am happy that way...."

"It's okay, just tell me why please...I'll understand I promise" Dž said while holding Ana and caressing her hair. Ana looked up to her and said on one breath:

"It's because I'm gay"

After that she put her head down as if she was embarrassed by that. Džordana was stunned by her statement and silence occured.
Ana looked up once again and shouted :

"You said you would understand!! You promised!! And now what?? No reaction?? Thank you, I'm leaving"

She tried to leave crying but Džordana held her hand and said:
"Of course I understand you! It's just..."

"Just what?? "

"I was just surprised, hence my silent reaction, but I understand you!"

Ana calmed down and sat near her again.

"Okay, thank you so much, finally someone who understands me" she said while hugging Dž again.

The Lithuanian decided the time has come. She had to finally come out. Now or never. She hugged Ana even more and said

"Don't worry, I'm gay too".

Ana looked super surprised at her statement as well.

"You? But I know you have a husband? How come?"

"It's that I've been living in fear of being cancelled for my sexual orientation that I've never really come out and somehow that happened." Dž answered.

"So it's similar to my situation...But I'm glad we had this talk, it really helped me, I'm so grateful for you"

Ana said while laying her head on Džordana's shoulder. She was playing with her hair and they fell asleep like that.
