Small spaces.

Small spaces is something Sven hates. it triggers him and there wasn't much space to move around. he covered his face with his hands, seemingly squeezing his eyes with the palms of his hands.

It's only been a day.

A day since he hasn't seen Burt or Soph..or anybody in his family. he wonders if they're doing fine. they should be fine.

They should be.

It's only been a day and he hates it here. he didn't want to be here but had to for reasons I won't explain. the humming of the airship is bothering his ears and his bottom is hurting from sitting on the floor way too much.

He shoved his fingers into his blond hair and harshly sighed through his nose. his vision started to show colored dots due to how hard he was squeezing his eyes shut. it was until then that he heard a sudden hiss from the door in front of him.

"I thought I told you never to bother-"

He looked up and his eyes suddenly widened. the first face he was saw was Burt's. it was so unexpected and it sent his train of thought running.

Why is he here..?

He was stunned. speechless. he didn't know what to say, his mouth was wide open in shock but nothing came out of it. nothing. Right suddenly left the cell, shutting the cell door behind him. probably to leave them to talk or he was just uncomfortable with the silence filling the cell.

Either way, it didn't matter to the swede.

Burt cleared his throat. "hey.." Burt greeted, walking over to Sven who managed to snap out of his shocked trance. "wha.. what are you doing here?! how are you here?!" Sven exclaimed, placing both of his hands on Burt's shoulders.

The words suddenly disappeared from his mind and so nothing came out of his mouth. he closed it, looking away from Sven's blue eyes that was filled with worry.. and probably fear as well..? Burt didn't see closely enough.

Sven felt a sting of regret once those words came out of his mouth. he shouldn't yell at Burt like this.. it's just feels wrong.

You were pulled away from your family and this is how you greet him? what kind of a person are you?!

Sven shut those thoughts off and brought his hand to Burt's cheek, gently moving his head to face him. "..they didn't hurt you, did they?" he asked, scanning him carefully to see if something was out of place. fortunately for Sven, Burt shook his head.

"No, they didn't."

Sven let out a sigh of relief but then repeated his question but with a much calmer tone. "how did you get here, love?" he asked, still being gentle with him, rubbing his sleeved arms. Burt was silent for a few moments before responding.

"I..I don't know. all I know is that I was just taking a walk in the middle of the night and then I woke up here." he explained, recalling from what he remembers. Sven could only guessed what could have happened to Burt the other night.

It was clear as day that Burt got kidnapped in the middle of night but something doesn't really feel quite right.. why was Burt even taking a walk in the middle of the night?!

Hold on..

"..Is Soph okay?" he asked, leading his hands to Burt's and giving it a gentle squeeze. he heard Burt sigh through his nose and he looked up. "I don't know.. I just wish I knew how she's doing." he sighed and laid against Sven.

"..I do also." he wrapped his arms around Burt and kissed his forehead comfortably. the only thing he can't get on his mind is why Burt is here. he already knows how. perhaps he could get answers from Right or Reginald.

..Or anybody for that matter.

The two stayed silent for awhile, appreciating each other's comfort. Burt suddenly turned his head to look at Sven, who was apparently lost in thought. he bit his lip, trying to find the right words to ask the question he had in mind.

Finally, he found them.

"..Why did you do it?" Burt's voice was as soft and quiet but Sven managed to hear and looked over to him, blue eyes meeting up with teal ones. "do what?" he asked, not quite understanding Burt's question at the moment.

"This." Burt motioned to the area around them. "why did you go with them?" his was still quiet but it shook with sadness. sadness that Sven was clearly able to hear and it broke him. he broke his eye contact with Burt, making Burt feel a bit more upset.

I should have stayed quiet..

Sven looked back, looking into Burt's eyes once more before sighing. "she wanted her." he choked out and that was it. nothing more came out of his mouth. to Burt, it only created more questions.

"Who?" Burt's expression shifted into a confused one. he didn't quite understand what Sven was trying to say nor did it make sense to him. it was just a sentence without purpose. the swede shoved his fingers into his hair while sighing, looking for something to say.

"..She wanted Soph." he turned and watched as Burt's expression change from confusion to fear. Sven felt Burt's grip suddenly tighten and watched as his body started to twitch from time to time. it's his nerves.

He's scared.

"..What did she want to do with Soph..?" his voice was now a whisper a bit but Sven didn't seem mind it. he felt the same way before it quickly shifted into anger. he felt fear too. "..I don't know, she never told me." Sven mumbled and the air in the room was thick with tension.

Sven felt Burt wrap his arms around him, closing his eyes and letting every piece of information sink into him. the swede rested his head on top of Burt's, sighing again once more and stared out into the window of the cell door in front of him.

He quickly caught sight of the edge of a top hat, quickly moving out of the way the moment the swede spotted it.

The twitches that Burt's body made suddenly stopped, signaling the swede that he managed to calm himself down. he squinted his eyes and stared closely at the cell window, to catch somebody's reflection. he couldn't anybody's, he could only see what was outside the cell.

"..So that's why your here?" Burt's voice suddenly dominated the silence that was ringing in his ears. the blonde could only nod. he felt Burt shift his position a bit to get more comfortable and he softened his grip.

"Your here because you wanted to keep Soph safe, right?" Burt looked up, to try and face Sven and he successfully made eye contact with him. he nodded before speaking out a verbal answer. "It was the only thing I could do in the moment.." he realized of how.. sad his voice sounded.

He didn't mean to sound sad.

Or maybe.. he just misses his daughter. it's normal for a parent to miss their child.

"I understand."

The swede felt Burt sigh into his chest and cuddled him for a bit longer. Sven's gaze shifted between the glass window of the cell door  and Burt, who was trying to drift off since he didn't get much sleep last night.

Sven couldn't help but feel like if he was being watched from somebody at the window but he attempted to shrug it off and gave Burt a gentle squeeze before resting his eyes.

Maybe it's just a feeling.
