A Love Confession Turns Back Around

Meanwhile with the young xiaolin monks who had been forced to spend the night at the mansion, Raimundo and Kimiko were still in argument with one another upstairs.

Raimundo Pedrosa: You could at least listen to what I have to say to you. I solemnly promise you; it would never be anything chauvinistic like what you'd expect from Omi. At least, give me a chance to try to tell you what was said when the guys and I were talking about you and Ethan.

Kimiko Tohomiko: I don't know. Are you really gonna even try to be honest about what you were talking about with the guys that time? Or are you just gonna chicken out of telling me the truth this time, too? Sometimes, I just can't believe what a coward you've turned into these days. You've been acting like this a lot lately. Whatever the truth is, I have the right to know it from you, don't I? And if you can't even tell me the truth confidently, maybe I should just go to one of the guys and try to squeeze out them.

Raimundo Pedrosa: No, please, Kim! I need to be the one to tell you. The guys keep saying I should be the one to tell you. Believe me, Kimiko, I want to be that one person who tells you, it's just...

Kimiko suddenly heard his words trail off. She had never before seen this hesitant side to her friend, Raimundo. She had always thought she had him completely figured out.

Meanwhile, from Raimundo's side of their conversation, he decided to simply casually lead into it. Kimiko watched as he suddenly changed the subject of their conversation for one reason or another.

Raimundo Pedrosa (continued): I've sort of noticed that that Ethan Graceland dude's kinda been looking your way. I've also noticed that he seems to really like you a lot. What about you? You don't like him back, do you?

Raimundo was desperate for her answer to be a 'no'. Kimiko was a bit confused by what Raimundo was asking her, and she understood that Raimundo, the guys, and Ethan all had their own opinions of her, but she wanted all of them to understand that she, too, was entitled to her own opinions, as well.

Kimiko Tohomiko: Ethan might like me, but doesn't make me obligated to like him back, or so you'd probably imagine. I know I just met him and shouldn't be this into him right away, but the way he looked at me when I first met him made me feel special. The truth is that it's refreshing to meet a guy as polite, open, and sincere as Ethan Graceland. What's even nicer than that is to be actually noticed by a guy, in general. I guess that I kind of like the attention I'm getting from Ethan, if nothing else.

Raimundo Pedrosa: What are you saying? Plenty of guys notice you. You're the center of attention to tons of guys on a lot of the shen gong wu missions.

Kimiko Tohomiko: If that's so true, then why have I never been approached by other guys on any of our shen gong wu missions, huh?

Raimundo was about to clarify such a thought for Kimiko, when it suddenly dawned on him that HE, himself, along with Clay, Omi, Ping Pong, and Dojo, was the reason that all of the other guys from their missions never even once approached her, although it was actually Raimundo, himself, who was at fault the most of them all for it. It was true. It really was his fault most of all that she was never approached by even one other guy on their shen gong wu missions because he constantly shot intimidating and very hellish glares at other guys who noticed her.

Those death glares Raimundo would send out always said to all of the other guys "Back off! She's mine!". But now that she was noticed by someone who was clearly not afraid to talk to her about his feelings for her, Raimundo thought that he might as well finally confess his own love to Kimiko and let her decide who she wants. He should have just told her how she made him feel and let her follow her own heart so she could be happy.

Raimundo Pedrosa: I have something to confess to you about that; I'm the reason that all of those other guys we sometimes run into on our missions notice you but never approach you. They never approach you because I get jealous and give all of them an "I saw her first!" kind of glare. But now I realize just how wrong that is of me. I shouldn't glare at any other guys because of my own petty feelings. I should value your happiness over mine. I'm sorry for being so territorial when I don't even have the right to behave like it in the first place.

Raimundo had finally confessed his love to Kimiko, and he was completely sincere. Unfortunately for him, because he would tease and prank her a lot when both of them first became Xiaolin dragons, she did not believe so much as a word he had told her and just took as a callback to his teasing and pranking phase of the crush he had always had on her.

Kimiko Tohomiko: Well, I have to say this, Rai. You certainly did have me going there, pranking me with a false love confession and everything.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Prank? False Love Confession? But-But this really isn't a prank, at all. It's the truth. I really do feel that way about you. I've felt this way about you ever since we first came to the temple and went on to even become xiaolin dragons.

Kimiko Tohomiko: Nice try, Raimundo. But whatever it is you're selling; I'm so not buying. However, I also have this to say...

Kimiko motioned her finger to bring Raimundo's ear closer to her lips. He dreaded the thought that she was planning on screaming in his ear, but he still complied to her request, anyway.

Kimiko Tohomiko (continued): I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SCARED AWAY ALL OF THOSE POTENTIAL BOYFRIENDS FOR ME! WHAT IS YOUR DAMAGE, RAIMUNDO PEDROSA?! HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING ON EVERY LAST ONE OF OUR SHEN GONG WU MISSIONS IN THE PAST?!
