I LIKE YOU

I LIKE YOU. I don't know how, nor do I know why. But it was clear as day that everytime your presence walks by, my stomach would churn in excitement. Whenever I see the sight of your golden blonde hair, I feel like showing off just to catch your eye; I'd flex my riches, skills, and treasures just for you to turn my way - but you seemed to always be engrossed in the artistic fantasies of literature.

You always had this bookstore scent whenever I'd stand close to you.

I try to catch your attention, but it's already been caught by the words engraved on the papers of your book. You almost seemed like the reincarnation of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. You've always wanted to travel the world and become an author.

In English Class, I've always watched you from afar. I've seen your eyes shine everytime you'd talk about how this princess saved her village from a wicked witch. Or how a hero clad in green restored peace to their land from an evil monstrous demon. You've fawned about the wisdom of the princess, the courage of the hero, and the power they have together.

I would hide my smile everytime you'd wave at me secretly. I blush everytime I hear your laughter. My heart would start racing and pounding in the giddiest way possible. I'd steal glances at you everytime I'd get the chance to.

There are times where I'd write silly letters on the pages of my notebook. It had the words I wanted to confess to you - it contained all of my deepest and sincerest attraction for you.

I hope that one day, you'd feel the same.
