Mist's P.o.v.

I woke up to the sound of heavy footsteps trudging down the stairs.

Oh no.

An intruder.

Am I going to die? Maybe if I make them frog shaped pancakes they'll have mercy.

Ya. That'll work.

Peaking out with one eye, I didn't see the intruder anywhere, so I quickly scurried to the kitchen and pulled out my ingredients that i was going to need and my pancake shaper.

I started mixing everything, pouring the pancake batter into the shaper when I felt a presence behind me. Maybe if I don't turn around they'll go away?

Maybe they won't see me! I keep making pancakes until the batter was gone, ignoring the thing behind me.

Sigh.

I guess I'm going to have to trade my pancakes for my life. Good by fluffy, fruity, yummy pancakes. I put the pancakes on the plate and slowly turn around only to see a familiar face. Where have I seen him before?

And then it hit me.

The guy from last night.

With the wound.

Oh my stars.

Just play it cool. Don't let him know you completely forgot he existed.

"Pancakes?"

"..."

Why is he staring at me like that? Does he know?! Is he a mind reader? I'm doomed!

As I was thinking of all the ways he'd kill me, I didn't notice him taking a few pancakes off of the plate i was holding.

"Thank you."

"Huh?" I stared at him confused. Is he not going to kill me? Sell my bones? Steal my blankets and food?

"Thank you for letting me stay last night."

Ohhhh. Right, right! "You're welcome!" Wow i sure am cheery this morning.

He grunted in reply and left. With two pancakes not eaten. Didn't even stay to tell me if they were good or not. Rude.

I grabbed a fork and added whipped cream and sprinkles on mine. Very healthy.

I walked out to the pond, and sat down waiting for the animals to wake up and eat their breakfast while I ate mine.

I misted the surrounding area out a bit so it wasn't too hot, and cause it was cool looking.

As the day went on, animals of different species ran, hopped, flew, and scurried around me, and I starred up at the sunny clear sky, thinking about the strange man.
