You walk outside to see your dad waiting for you in his car you wave at him and start to walk over but then "y/n" hopper yells from behind you turn around and he like struts over to you giving you a smirk and looking you up and down
Oh my god his face he's so hot..shit I don't think he knows my dad's right there
He comes up to you and says "I wouldn't go to the arcade tonight" "oh really and why's that" "because of that Harrington punk" "stop it he's my friend" he gets even more frustrated "fine..see you tomorrow and he walks back to the station" you get in your dad's car "what was that about" "oh um just work stuff he wants me to patrol with uh Callaghan this weekend" "awh I see I'm so proud of you sweetheart" "thanks dad oh my car! You two get home and you go in the house and watch some tv a bit then the phone rings you answer it "hello" "y/n?" Oh my god it's Steve wonder why he's calling "Steve hey" "hey so you're off work great you're coming to the arcade right" "yep" "good meet us there at uh 8" "mhm I'll be there" "good oh you got your car fixed right" "yup" he remembered.. you smile and blush "I still think you're too young to drive" "what?! Shush Harrington I'm a very good driver probably better than you" "ha doubt it but uh you're just gonna have to let me take you on a date to find out" "oh my god I can't believe you just said that" you burst out laughter "I know smooth" you and Steve continue to talk and it's already almost 8 "holy crap Steve we've been talking for like an hour" "woah yeah it's so easy to talk to you" "well um I better get ready I'll see you in like 20 mins" "alright bye y/n" "bye"

     You're on your way to the arcade and stop at a light the slowest one ever then you look next to you to see Hopper's damn truck
Are you shitting me ughh he slightly looks at you not noticing who you are then whips his head over again his eyebrows furrowed he rolls down the window "y/l/n where you off to" "the arcade hop I told you that" "and I thought I told you, you shouldn't" "you're not the boss of me" "huh really well okay I'm not yeah but your dad is" you stare at him cold "what are you talking about" "I don't think your dad would like you hanging with a degenerative like Harrington" you were so pissed after he said that your head started getting red hot and your eye twitching and what you said next might have changed this whole "relationship" "yeah well I don't think my dad would like me hanging around with and kissing a 44 year old!" He looked shocked when you said and hurt because he actually cares about you and your "relationship" it wasn't even like that but obviously you were just pissed

You arrive at the arcade and all you can think about is Hopper's hurt look you wanted so bad to check on him but there's no way that he's wanting to see you I mean he ran a red light just to get away the light turns green and you drive to the arcade

You arrive at the arcade and see Steve "y/n hey!"
He jogs towards you "Steve!" You yell with glee you run towards him and he swoops you up your arms now around his neck and his around your waist "Steve you just saw me " you laugh that was weird why did he pick me up..and why did I like it "I can't help that I missed you" he puts you down and you two walk in the arcade
"Hey guys!" "Y/n!" All of them yell "y/n let's go play some games" Steve says gently grabbing your hand and leading you "ouhh Mario let's play" you say with absolute glee" "ughhh Mario y/n come on now" Steve groans and you gently push him "ohh come on Steve it's so fun" you start to play and you can just feel Steve's eyes on you but you weren't uncomfortable it was a nice feeling you were happy "y/n?..." Steve whispers a bit "mhm" you say concentrating on the game "Um..I think I'm..in love with you" you suddenly start to shake you whip your head towards him "what?"
