Chapter 4 hanging out

Charlene drove home picked up her room and the took a quick shower. Her parents would be home at six so that gave her just enough time to do her homework and then chores.
When Charlene got done with everything it was six fifteen. Her parents had just gotten home. Charlene welcomed them and then went upstairs. She waited till six thirty,thats when Landon was coming over. Charlene phone buzzed it was Landon telling her that he was there. Charlene ran down the stairs and opened the door. Landon walked in behind her. "Mom dad I have a friend over going upstairs okay." Charlene said as she was running upstairs.
"Char door stays open got it young lady don't want have to put this nice young man in jail now do we." her father said teasingly.
"Yeah yeah ok dad." Charlene said
She walked into her room and Landon followed. She shut the door. "Umm won't your parents get mad?"Landon asked as he pointed at the door.
"Ohh no they will just check on us." Charlene explained Charlene went and set on the bed,Landon followed her."So whatcha want to do?"Charlene asked
"Watch a movie or we could just talk."Landon replied questingly
"Ooh movie"Charlene said jumping from the bed. She put in master of disguise then sat back down.
They were watching the movie when Landon pulled Charlene closer into his chest so that he was holding her in his arms. "Hey char can I ask you a question?" Landon asked
"Sure I guess." Charlene replied
"Are you okay how have you been especially today?" Landon asked
"I've been good but I won't lie today has been hard but you were there once again to save me so yeah." Charlene replied with tears in her eyes. To day was the anniversary of Charlene's baby brothers death he would be four. He was killed by some drunk driver.
That day Landon held Charlene for hours on end until she cried herself to sleep. Landon use to live next to Charlene then she moved. Her friends didn't know about her little brother dying because they didn't know about him. "Char come with me." Landon said pulling her off the bed
"Where are we going?I looks like a mess. " Charlene questioned in her whiny voice.
"We are going to visit Tommie ,he won't care what you look like." Landon replied
They walked out the door and got into Landon's car. They drove for what seemed like forever,but it was only a short time. They pulled into the cemetery and got out. They walked in a few rows and there it was. It was a little head stone that's said "here lies a boy an angel" Tommie James Michaels.
He was only two when he died. He was walking around . As Charlene looked at the shiny rock tears threatened to escape her eyes. She turned and hugged Landon when she was with him she felt safe. Landon wiped away the tears with his thumbs. Landon looked into her eyes. He couldn't help it anymore he leaned down and kissed Charlene. Charlene grabbed Landon's face and kissed back. Landon pulled away "Hey what happened to me being a sex crazed boy huh?" Landon asked teasingly
"I guess I changed my mind." Charlene said trying to hide her blush.
Landon took her home kissed her good night then went home himself. When Landon got home he texted Charlene

I can't believe I just kissed her the most beautiful girl ever. I've got to text her.
To Char : hey tomorrow we're hanging out at my place and who knew you could be such a good kisser;). She is so cute I just want for her to be mine. I can't get her off my mind it's now two thirty in the morning and I can't sleep because she is on my mind. I can't wait till tomorrow, and wait till she sees that text.
