HOSEOK'S POV~

"Do you like y/n?" I ask as soon as I get Yoongi into the room with the door closed.

Yoongi's expression didn't change. "No, you idiot. Stop assuming stuff just because I hugged her."

I let out a breath, not even knowing why I asked such a thing.

"I'm sorry, I'm just overthinking everything now. After you guys being right about Nao I just feel like even the slightest things are a sign of liking someone that I can't tell. It's stupid I know but I feel so clueless now." I say and Yoongi makes a face.

"You are clueless." Yoongi says and before I can respond he says, "You do realize y/n  Is worried about Nao right? I'm sure she told you already but it's really getting to her. That being said, don't do anything stupid. Even if you don't mean to, I'm serious dude, don't hurt her. Y/n is a good girl and she loves you."

"I'm not going to hurt her, Yoongi. I wouldn't even dream of it. I know she loves me and I love her too. Nao isn't going to ruin that." I say as I throw my bag down on my bed and then myself.

Yoongi doesn't say anything as he sits down too.

His words circled in my head. I don't know why he assumed I'd ever hurt y/n or why he even felt the need to warn me not to.

I may be oblivious at times but I know when someone is flirting with me, I'm sure, so no one needs to worry. I can handle this.

I'll have a talk with Nao as soon as I can and make sure she knows.

She already said she didn't feel anything for me now so I'm not sure why Yoongi was so convinced otherwise.

Still, if it would ease y/n to know for sure, then I'll do what I have to.

Hurting y/n is the last thing I would ever want to happen so I would do what I could to prevent that.

That being said, I'll talk with Nao and set things straight.

For now, I was just going to make sure to give y/n the reassurance she needed and go from there.

After a bit, Yoongi headed home and I made my way out to help y/n make dinner as promised.

When I turn in her direction, I see her laying on the couch asleep. I guess she hadn't been getting enough sleep lately because of her overthinking.

Trying to be quiet, I sat down beside her, careful not to wake her.

I gently brushed my hand over her hair, watching as she laid there peacefully.

Everyday I swore she got more and more beautiful. Or maybe I was just falling even more in love with her I don't know.

Either way, I love y/n so much that even moments like this make my heart feel so full.

One of the best things to happen to me was studying abroad and meeting her. I can't imagine my life without her now.

I see y/n stir in her sleep a little before her eyes start to open. She doesn't seem the least bit surprised when she sees me seated next to her.

"What time is it?" She asks, letting her eyes fall shut again and making no attempts to sit up.

"Around seven. If you want to sleep we can skip dinner and make a big breakfast tomorrow." I say and instead of speaking, y/n nods.

I smile as she reaches her hand out and grabs ahold of my arm.

"Take me to bed?"

"Of course." I chuckle as I pick her up and carry her with me to our room.

Just like that, she's out like a light once more.

The following day at school I made sure to get this talk with Nao out of the way.

I needed to find out exactly what she was thinking so I could either tell y/n there was absolutely nothing to worry about, or so I could shut it down before Nao got a chance to do anything about it.

It didn't take long to find Nao. She was seated in the middle of campus at one of the picnic tables, surrounded by her friends.

They see me before she does. I know this because they start to whisper and point.

Nao turns and meets my eyes as she smiles. She says something to her friends before she hops in my direction.

"Hey, what are you doing over here? Where's your girlfriend?" Is the first thing she asks.

"I wanted to talk to you about something." I say, my eyes drifting over to her friends. "If you don't mind."

"Not at all! Let's sit here." She says as she point to the table just beside us. I nod as we sit.

"So what did you want to talk about that you came all the way over here?" Nao asks, a soft smile on her face.

"It's about what Jin asked you the other day. You know, about you being in love with me back in grade school. Well, I know you said that was before but I just want to make sure that's the truth." I start. Nao's brows raise.

"Of course it's the truth. I'm not in love with you anymore, silly." She says, a slight laugh in her words.

"Okay, yeah, I just wanted to be sure. As you know, I'm with y/n and I just don't want her getting upset because of this situation. She doesn't need that stress over nothing." I say and Nao is silent for a moment.

"Yup, no worries. I just want to be friends with you, is all. You can tell y/n that too. She has nothing to worry about. It's not like I'm planning to steal you from her." She says as she cracks a smile.

I watched her expression for a minute before I said what I knew would be the right move.

"Good, because you couldn't even if you tried."

Nao simply nods, her expression staying the same. Although I catch her hand on the edge of the table, her knuckles turning white. I say nothing.

"Anyway, I'm gonna get back to my friends. I'll see you around." With that, she hurries off.

I scratch my head, unsure of if that went well or not. Was y/n even fine with me being friends with Nao?

I have no idea.

I just sure as hell hope that's all it is.
