12 - tag your it

the party starts at around 6:20 even though it was supposed to start at 7, but because everyone came early we just started to party.

the people who came very early to help were: louis, millie, finn, ariana and even hailee came for the celebration.

other guests invited were: olivia rodrigo, camila mendes, maya hawke, joe keery, gaten materazo, caleb mclaughlin, joesph quinn, jamie campbell bower, natalia dyer, cole sprouse, charlie heaton, sadie sink, timothy chalamet, zendaya, tom holland, madeline petcsh, and aiden galleger. and also a few others.

most of the people who came were either mine, or aris friends. millie also had a few connections like some people from the stranger things cast.

i had a chance to talk to lots of people about the song.

"hey y/n." said tom giving me a hug.

"hi tom. how have you been." i say as we pull out.

"good, good. i'm so proud of you. well done." he smiles at me.

"thank you." i laugh.

"hey y/n. hey tom." i hear a familiar voice.

"hey joesph!" i smile and give him a hug.

joesph quinn.

i met joesph thanks to my sister being friends with one of his friends. so technically it's a mutual thing i guess. i met him 3 years back, and we bonded really quickly. he lived here, and i lived in america, but he had to go to georgia for the filming of stranger things 4th season, and i came here while he was there. now he's back from filming and we have plans for the weekend.

"oh, hi joe." i smile and give joe keery a side hug after i pull out of the hug with joesph.

"hey y/n, im wanted to congratulate you. the song is a hit. i love it, mostly because it made me cry." he laughs.

i laugh along with him as tom taps my shoulder.

"i'm gonna talk to your sister." he smiles.

i nod and turn back to the others.

"yeah, i agree with joe. i'm so proud of you." laughs joesph.

i feel an arm snake around my waist and my body stiffens. i feel like my heart stopped beating and turn to face louis. i let out a sigh before elbowing him.

"you scared the shit out of me!" i shout at him.

he starts to laugh. "i'm sorry." he kisses my head.

"are you's.." starts joe.

i face louis and back to joe and joesph.

"no, no, no. we are friends. close friends." i smile.

"friend zoned." coughs joesph.

i face him with wide eyes and he just looks away.

"anyway, sorry to interrupt, but do you gentleman mind if i steal her for a few minutes?" asks louis.

"yeah, yeah, of course." joe scratches his neck as louis nods and leads me to a small closet we have near the stairs.

"hey." he smiles pinning me to the wall.

"hi." i try holding in my laugh.

we both stay silent for a few seconds before we burst out laughing.

"are you's..." mocks louis.

i laugh even harder and hugs me suddenly.

"i'm so happy that you put that song out there. some people are to scared to share what happened to them, but you... you are just.. you. i know this kinda sounds like a pep talk, and i know you have heard this about 100 times today but i'm so proud of you. and i mean that. you are so resilient." he says putting a strand of hair behind my ear.

he look into my eyes and smiles.

"i love you." he whispers.

i smile and he looks at my lips. i admire him in slow motion as he slowly moves towards me. he stares at my lips as i just look into his eyes. just as he's leaning in to kiss me, the door bursts open.

"hailee!" i shout.

"holy shit! are you kissing my baby?!" she shouts at louis.

"hailee! we were just talking!" i defend.

"in a closet!?" she questions.

"anyway, why do you care who i kiss?" i raise am eyebrow.

"because your still a child babe." she shrugs.

"okay let's get out of here." he rubs his neck as he hailee moves out the way.

she looks at me and i make a face as she closes the door.

"why were you looking for me anyway?" i question her.

"because ariana was looking for you. you have to make your speach or something, that's what i was told by her, so i came looking for you." she shrugs as louis look behind for me and waits till me and hailee catch up.

he puts his arm around my shoulder and we walk over to ari and where the mic is set up.

"finally! where were you." she says in her angelic voice.

"never mind that, gimme the mic." i smile as she hands me it.

louis takes a glass and taps a fork to it to get everyone's attention. the room quickly grows silent and people give their attention to me as i get up on to the counter with louis's help.

"hi, may i have your attention please." i say even though they are looking.

"thank you. i would like to take a minute to give a speech.
"first of all i would like to thank everyone who helped me out through this journey. dealing with what happened to me has been a though journey, but thanks to my family and friends, i have gotten much better. i decided to right this song, not as a revenge thing, but more to spread awareness. after what tyler did to me at millie's party, i was angry. sad, but mostly angry. back then, i wanted revenge. but now that i think back, i mean, i guess that was kinda harsh, so i just call it, spreading awareness. till it happens to you describes what girls go through. at all ages. young or slightly older. i am currently 18, and to some of you guys, that is very young, especially because of the fact that a 24 year old did this so me, but lots of girls and boys go through this at a very young age. and when you look at it, they don't even get a say in anything.
"that's what tag your it is about." i finish. and they all clap.

"i would like to give a special thanks to ariana, my sister, hailee, my for lifer, millie bobby brown, louis partridge-" louis squeezes my hand, "- noah schnapp, who sadly, coudnt make it today, finn wolfhard, and most importantly, tyler, because if it wasn't for that son of a bitch, i woudnt be standing here today thanking you all!" i shout and everyone whistles and claps.

i notice that millie was recording. i snails at her and look at ari to give her a sign. she nods and starts to get ready to play tag your it..

"sing the damn song bitch!" cheers camila breaking the silence.

i look around to see everyone clapping and cheering. joe and cole are whistling whilst zendaya is dancing with millie as the song comes on.

i take one look at louis and he smiles and gets up on the counter with me. i hug him and he lifts me up.

when he puts me down, he wraps his arms around my waist and i give the mic to ari and take the head mic she gives to me. i quickly attach it and put my arms around louis's neck. i start singing and we all dance and party all night.

"good morning sunshine! get up! i have news!" shouts a cheerful hailee coming into my room and opening my blinds. just as she does, she screams.
