Hikaru looked at Lane bewildered. Lane Valhalla, the very man who once wanted to destroy him and his bey and despise his very existence, wanted to teach him?
"You want to teach me? What are you getting after? What are you trying to get in return?" Hikaru questioned."Nothing. The way you are now will never be enough to change the minds of the world. I really meant it when I said I've been watching, keeping to the shadows. You've done nothing but run at Lui's little club, I watched as you got on the school bus, saw how you never went back, and watched as you exited the hospital." Lane paused Hikaru now frightened not knowing if Lane knew what that dreadful day contained "I know those beys of yours has something to do with your friends in the past, true it's none of my business nor the reason why you were in the hospital." Lane spoke but paused
"Lane, why did you decide to follow me?" Hikaru gritted his teeth by the mention of his childhood friends."You've watched from the shadows, but you know nothing!" Hikaru yelled. Lane stood there shocked. Normally, he was the cool headed one, the one that's supposed to keep Hyuga at bay. "Hikaru," He whispered, but the only reply he got from the boys was silent sobs. "You've been crying alone, haven't you?" Hikaru nodded."Follow me. We need to talk more in private." Lane walked Hikaru, followed until they reached an abandoned factory. Hikaru stopped, looking at the place as if he saw a ghost. His breath hitched, his legs shaky, and he fell to the ground as Lane rushed to him
"Hikaru!" Hikaru was hyperventilating Egan, Helios, and Lunar were violently glowing. Hikaru was having a panic attack. Lane sat the boy up as he told him to breathe and focus on nothing but his breathing. Hikaru was having flashbacks to the abandoned building. He couldn't focus on anything but the man he fought that day. Then suddenly black. Lane brought the boy inside, laying him down, wondering what was going on. He ran outside, looking at his factory, wondering what was the thing that set Hikaru off and stayed out there for 30 minutes straight until he heard a loud thud
Hikaru was on the ground on his back but looked to be in a daze. "Can you hear me?" He looked towards the voice, but the person was blurry."Who?" He spoke. Lane started to panic."It's Lane!" He shouted."Oh hey, Lane, " He whispered,"Aren't we supposed to be training?" He sat up as he was finally coming to his senses."You had a panic attack." Lane spoke."Another one, huh, it never gets old." Hikaru chuckled. "What!" Lane choked. "Nothing!" Hikaru sweatdropped "Let's get training. Who knows how much time has passed." Lane sighed
In the next 30 minutes, Lane set up the training area while Hikaru meditated settling the uneasiness of the building
"Alright, the should be the last of it, we might not be able to do everything, but these are the simple things we can start with." Lane spoke. Hikaru peaked an eye open, analyzing the layout. "What is all this stuff?" Hikaru questioned."I'll explain as we go. we already wasted an hour and now down to 5." Hikaru stood up still uneasy but ready for any challenge.Lane walked up to the first area, and Hikaru followed. "We'll start with this," Lane hopped on a red cord connected to two polls, which stretched from his weight and back flipped, landing on it with perfect balance. "This is called a Slack Line it's used for launching balance, hop on." Hikaru did as so struggling to keep his balance but stayed "Good grab your launcher and begin!"
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"Let it rip!"
They simultaneously launched Lane, kept his balance, but Hikaru fell. "Ow!" Hikaru landed with a thud."Focus on keeping your balance!"
Hikaru tried and failed
"Again!"
"Rip!"
"Again!"
"Rip!"
