Chapter 15: Emperor's mark

Hikaru looked the strange beast in the eyes with his aura rising and his eyes beginning to glow a faint color of red.

"So you finally want to get serious huh? Tell you this kid if you can touch my stomach or chest I'll take all the things I said to you back if you can't then oh well kid." It said

"Why do you want me to take this challenge? What are you getting out of this?" Hikaru questioned 

"Nothing for me but something for you don't you get it? This is to prepare you for the battle you have three bonds and resonance to control other than that you have to win." It said

"Ok this is what I have to do, no this is what I need to do I won't no I refuse to live in my brothers shadow I refuse to keep Helios, Lunar and Egan in Hyperion's shadow we'll all rise to the top we'll be someone they can call on I'll be the balance that will hold them together."

Hikaru stomped his foot on the ground, his sun mark glowed red as he put his hand up clenching his fist he slammed it down on his chest where his heart lied beating.

"You better believe it now let's go!"

Hikaru started running clockwise again as his speed seemed to increase just by a bit the creature began to throw the rocks again but to his surprise they were bigger than before Hikaru began to dodge them weaving as the rocks shattered on the ground.

'It stopped throwing them this is my chance I can get to his chest' Hikaru thought

He ran forwards leaping over the shattered rocks running through the dust he couldn't seem to find anything. Then another rock came from behind hitting him on the back he fell forwards but caught himself.

"You think you're safe kid?"

"Huh?"

Another rock hit his leg then another to his stomach Hikaru coughed before another hit the bottom of his chest getting the wind knocked out of him he fell back.

"Is this all you have to offer? What happened to being the balance to catch them if they fall? What happened to what you said before? To not let them live in Hyperion's shadow and you in your brothers? I thought you said that you don't need them to fight your battles didn't you say you guys will roar louder than anyone? I don't see that happening."

Hikaru tried regain his state of mind looking around he began to form a strategy he began to move but was stopped by rocks hitting him from all sides the more he let those words sink in the more his lust for winning grew his mind was only on victory his eyes began to sting his unnecessary thoughts began to flood away the rocks started to move slower but not by much he closed his eyes and remembered all his training not just from Helios, Egan and Lunar but from the beginning of his blading journey.

"What's wrong? Giving up so soon?"

Hikaru could no longer hear the creatures taunts nor feel the rocks he was deeper within his mind he was in a dark place underwater looking around only a faint light seeped through Hikaru swam to it he reached his hand out and gently grabbed the faint color of red and a dual-colored blue it burst on contact the water evaporated and the darkness departed making way for the colors only a pure white was left they flew around him as it sank into his chest he felt a surge of power course through his body his eyes stung it was unbelievable but suddenly stopped his hand began to glow looking down he saw a mark the shape of a dragon with a sun behind it his eyes snapped open to see the rocks moving slowly towards him Egan, Lunar and Helios was watching from above as their bodies began to glow.

"So it looks like he's finally done it huh?" Helios smiled "Indeed he has but now the real challenge has just begun"

Hikaru watched the rocks in a somewhat slow motion his surroundings turned green confused he looked around but to only see an outline of a objects moving at great speeds dodging the objects he watched them shatter looking around once more to see the cause of the flying objects it was radiating the color red and blue but a mix of dark blue as well.
