Chapter- One

Taehyung's pov :

Many people in this world are in love with magic, supernatural, fantasy stories because they give us the chance to live in an imaginary world where they can live these things which don't exist in real life. That's what people thinks and what they believe. But there's always an exception to everything. The things that are impossible for other human beings, they are possible for human beings like us.

I am different from everyone else in this world. I was born different. My entire life was already destined for something I never asked for. I was one of the chosen ones even before I was born. I spent my twenty years of life getting ready for this moment. I, Kim Taehyung was born with extraordinary powers which can't be possessed by other humans. I have the power of water and ice. It's confusing when I say it like this. What I'm trying to say is that I can control water and ice as well as produce them or manipulate them. I was born with a weird symbol on my left hand and that was the sign which made my life turn upside down. I was told that I was special because of my powers. I was trained since I was five to learn about my powers and control them. It's not that I don't like what I have, it's just that I never got to choose how I wanted to spend my life.

But I don't regret anything. I love my powers. They are a part of my life, a part of me which makes me complete. It definitely feels different from being normal. Everyone told me that it was hard to control magic but for me it was quite the opposite. I never felt like I had to control them...they just come out with my emotions. It's quite confusing, right ? But that's how it is and I love every inch of it.

I think it's time to leave now because my mom is calling me downstairs ready with my luggage to send me off for my new journey. My parents are the pillars of my life and they supported me in everything, even in this power thing which was very surprising to them. They always made sure to give me the strength I needed and I'm very grateful to them for this. But my heart feels so heavy right now thinking that I need to leave them and I don't know when I'll be able to see them. I am not even sure if I'll come back safe but I am quite determined to meet them again.

Okay, Taehyung....it's time to say goodbye now. I look at my room for the last time before heading outside. I take a last glance to everything surrounding me. And at last I meet my parents outside with my best friend, Hyunjin along with his parents who are waiting for me and Hyunjin to say their last goodbyes to us. My heart feels even heavier than before now. The faces of my parents make me feel like tearing up but I hold back my tears from falling down and head towards them.

"I guess it's time now. I don't know how I and your father are going to live without you from now on.", my mom said having tears on her eyes which she's trying not to make them fall.

"Don't cry, mom. I'm not leaving you and Dad here forever. I'll come back, okay ?", I told her with a tight hug. Oh God, I'm going to miss mom so much and it scares me now. I pull away from the hug facing my Dad who's condition is as same as mom, eyes brimming with tears which can fall at any moment.

"Please dad, don't do this to me. You both are making it so hard for me to leave. How can I leave when you both are like this ?", I finally let my tears fall which I have been holding back for so long.

"I'm sorry, son. We shouldn't have gotten so weak in front of you. But what can we do ? You're all we have. It's way harder than I thought it would be. Don't worry son, we'll send you with happy smiles.", I laugh a little at my dad's words. He's truly my hero. I give him a tight hug for the last time before finally letting him go. Hyunjin also says farewell to his parents and my parents along with me. I and Hyunjin get into the car finally leaving for our ultimate destination. It's really going to be a big day for me and Hyunjin too.

"I'm feeling so nervous, Theo. God... it's so nerve wrecking.," Hyunjin said to me looking at me from the window. I nod my head in response.

"My hands are sweating so badly too, Samie. I don't know what's waiting there for us.," I said looking at the scenery from the window. Hyunjin just hums in return We both fell into silence because how nervous and scared we were. I closed my eyes and let myself fall into dreamland.

(**Theodore and Sam are Taehyung's and Hyunjin's English names and they call each other by their English names.**)

I slowly opened my eyes as I heard Hyunjin calling out my name. "We are here, Theo." Hyunjin announced which made me realise that we reached at the destination. I couldn't help but take a deep breath finally getting out of the car.
I looked at my front and saw the huge place and some people dressed in suits and in the middle there was a man in his 70s which I recognised as soon as I laid my eyes on. It was none other than the Grandmaster himself who's going to train us from now on. He gave us a welcoming smile which I and Hyunjin returned. We headed towards him and bowed to him.

"I see you have arrived safely. It's a pleasure to see you two together. I welcome you both in our headquarters.," He said welcoming us showing a smile which gave a warm feeling. It made me calm down a little bit.

"Thank you for having us.," We both replied in unison.

"It's our pleasure to have you here. Now that you two are here, it's time for you to meet the other mages. We are going to hold the official meeting to introduce you five to everyone in here.," He informed us.

So the other three mages have arrived before us. I'm going to meet the people who possesses the same powers like me. It was a miracle that my best friend Hyunjin was also a mage. He was chosen as the mage of air. We both trained together from our childhood which was quite the happiest thing for me. What else can be better than having the same powers with your best friend ?

We headed to the official meeting hall and when we entered, the first thing that came to my mind was that the hall was huge. All the members that have higher positions or were very important in here were seated on their respected seats. They all looked at us when we entered the hall. Grandmaster told us to take the empty two seats in the front. Then the meeting started.

God....my heart is beating so rapidly. Damn those ocean blue eyes.
