A/N

Hey guys, it's ALIIIVE!

I am honestly SO sorry that I haven't updated in so long. Yes, I've had a lot going on in my life, but I can't use it all as an excuse for not updating for two whole months. To be completely honest with you guys, I found it difficult to write this story for a while, and I didn't want to give up on it, but I couldn't make myself write anything good enough. A few days ago after I got back from my vacation to Florida (which was so exciting because I'm a Canadian girl who had never been outside of the country!), I checked my Wattpad, clicking on my story to see when the last time was I updated. When I was staring back at the words 'Last updated over 2 months ago', I was horrified and immediately forced myself to start writing. So for you guys, I've written a chapter that is much longer than my normal updates. I've also been writing a Phan (Dan and Phil) fic, which isn't yet published anywhere as I'm writing it for a competition, but let me know if you'd be interested in giving it a read when I'm done, and I may just post it! Anyway, enough rambling. I hope you guys enjoy this! Love you all! xoxo

Troye's POV

I turned on the tap, letting hot water fill up in the sink, steaming everywhere as it did. I added some dish soap, watching as it bubbled up, and picked some up in my hands, blowing it across the kitchen, giggling to myself as I put the dishes into the sink. I than began to whistle to myself as I scrubbed them in the soapy water.

I was in an unbelievably chipper mood today, and I had decided to get up earlier than usual to make Tyler some breakfast. As I had entered the kitchen, I'd noticed the large stack of dirty dishes that we'd been neglecting to wash for the past week, with the excuse that the holidays were no time to be washing dishes. We'd now resorted to paper plates, and now that we'd completely run out of them, I knew that it was time to just get the actual dishes washed, plus I'd needed the counter space so it seemed to be my only available option. The eggs, maple bacon, and loaf of bread sat out on the counter, along with the strawberries and oranges I had decided I would slice up and put on his plate. I knew how much he loved maple bacon, and so only for him would I brave handling and cooking it. I let the thought of using leftover strawberries for strawberry shortcake later to motivate me for both bacon cooking and dish washing. I remembered how much he liked avocado too, and so I stopped for a moment as I dried my hands on a dishcloth and pulled one out of the fridge. I wasn't normally the culinary type, but for Ty, I would try to be. Besides, something like this was hard to mess up, right?

After the dishes had been cleaned and put away, and I'd successfully burned the first two batches of bacon, the third one (which I had just decided to cook in the oven instead) had finally turned out well enough to serve. I'd already cooked both the eggs and the toast, not to mention cut up all of the fruit and plated everything. I sighed happily as I took the bacon out of the oven, noting that it seemed to be cooked to perfection. I took a moment to silently thank the Google Gods for the suggestion of putting it in the oven, before I used a spatula to put it first on some paper towel to drain (also thanks to the Google Gods) and blotted it before transferring it to the plate. I was about to bring it to him, but suddenly remembered the avocado, quickly slicing some up and laying it on his toast, standing back for a moment to admire my work. This breakfast looked incredible, and I pulled out my phone to snap a picture for my Instagram. Tyler was going to love this; nothing could ruin this day.
