"You do love me teja....you think you don't....otherwise you wouldn't have defended me....otherwise you wouldn't have kept quiet not proving me a liar when i took your out calling you my girl friend...." He touched his forehead with hers.

The sun was setting in the horizon painting the sky and the sea red and two souls stood there with tears , their heart bleeding with the same red.

"No....sorry...." She muttered looking into his eyes.

Karan stared at her blankly. He didn't know who this girl was.

Teja saw a flash of hurt in his eyes but she knew that it was just momentary.

You have to understand Karan that I was never the one for you. For a brief period of time you thought that i was your sanity. You felt good spending time with me. Because i was this kid who was always making you laugh. It was not love. If i was ever important or if i ever held that value in your life then i would have changed you. Changed the bitter you. You could never have left me. Someone else will come Karan. Someone like you. Someone who is not just a fun loving chirpy girl. And she will be the one for you. Your forever. I will never hate you. But i cannot be with you knowing this. I can only be a rebound Karan. Just not to you , to everyone. I cannot be someone's forever. Half of the people don't take me seriously. How would they want me as their partner. I am well of as a rebound. And i cannot let myself be that to anyone anymore. I will always wish good for you Karan.

"Teja please...." He whispered closing his eyes.

"Please what?" She shouted at him.

"Teja...." He was taken aback with her loud scream.

"Haan Teja....Teja what?what chance do you want?what do you want to prove by calling me your girlfriend in front of everyone?just by saying it i won't become your girlfriend Mr. kundrra...." She said sarcastically.

"Teja i told you how much you mean to me...." Karan was about to hold her shoulder when she moved a couple of steps back.

"No Karan....i was your rebound....you found it easy to forget all your bitter experiences by being with me as i made the environment light....nothing more than that...." She chuckled.

"Are you mad?rebound?i cannot believe you think like that...." He said in disbelief.

"Really?okay then tell me how was it so easy to go away from me?" She asked crossing her arms across her chest.

"I was protecting you...." He said immediately. "From myself...."

"So what about protecting me now?and in future?who can guarantee you won't go away again to protect me?" She asked looking into his eyes.

"I promise you that won't happen....just a chance....please...." He said tilting his head , his eyes brimming with tears.

"Whom are you fooling Karan?" She chuckled. "You were not trying to protect me....you were protecting yourself....because you lost faith in love....you went away because you were scared....because of your past experiences....so you didn't protect me...."

Karan didn't know what to say and how to defend himself. Teja chuckled knowing that he had nothing to say.

"And it's fine...." She said smiling. "I am okay being your rebound....but not anymore....you need to understand that....you need to understand that you never loved me....you just found solace from your pain in me....and that is okay Karan....i am cool with it....but you need to accept and move on...."

"I can't...." He said firmly.

"Why not?" She asked immediately. "You did it so easily 6 months back....why not now?why is this time different than what happened then?don't you want to protect me now?"

He closed his eyes not knowing what to say.

"Find your forever Karan....That's not me....It can never be me....You care for me....but you don't love me....Don't worry we will be friends....or rather acquaintance....and i know if i need anything you will be there to help....you know that too...." She said with a smile. "Bye and please take care...."

And with that she turned around and walked away booking a cab for herself.

Karan stood there rooted for a couple of minutes registering what all she said.

No way in hell am i letting you go. He wiped his tears and stood firmly.

You are mine and i am yours. I know you love me. I know how much i have hurt you. And i know i have been a fool. But i am in love with you and that is the only truth i know. Baaki sab jaaye bhaad mein. And i want you with me for the rest of my life. And i will get you back no matter what. No matter how hard it gets. You are a tough nut to crack. But mujhe jo chahiye mai woh leke hi rahunga.

He quickly took out his phone from his pocket and called Wahi.

"Haan bol...." Wahi said after picking up the call.

"Sun i need a help...." He said immediately.

"Haan bol nuh...." Wahi frowned.

"First tell me where are you?" He asked impatiently.

"We all are here only in the production office...."

"Great...." Karan smiled widely. "Call Teja there....make any excuse and please call her there...and sun tu mat call kariyo....ritwik se karwa....tu karega toh samajh jayegi...."

"Tu karna kya chahta hai?" Wahi frowned suspiciously.

"Abhi nahi bata sakte....milke batata hoon....long story....just do that as of now....bye...." And with that he disconnected the call.

You haven't seen this side of your sunny till now and now you will see. Wait and watch. Karle jitna zid karna hai. He smiled mischievously and put his phone back into his pocket.
