As soon as he sent the message he saw Teja entering the hotel lawn and he sighed in relief.

She came back. Still check on her once. He messaged Wahi again to inform him.

I am sleepy. If you want to check on her do it yourself. Mai gaya sone. Good night. He read the message and sighed and looked at the sky.

Teja went in her room and kept the roasted coffee beans and bottles that she had bought from the starbucks reserve on the centre table and went straight into the washroom to freshen up

She changed and came out and ordered dinner for herself.

Has he eaten? She stopped her direction of thoughts instantly. If he is still not over his past and was just doing everything because she liked him , then there is no point thinking about him. The more she will think about him , the more it will get difficult for her to get over him.

Her order came in sometime and she had her food. She kept the plate away and put an alarm and sat on the bed after plugging in her headphones. She needed music to calm herself down.

She chatted with her brother for over an hour and was about to put on some music when she heard the door bell ring.

She checked the time. It was 1:30.

Must be him. But why?

If it was some other time , she wouldn't have been surprised but now?

She put her headphones away and opened the door and was immediately taken aback.

There he stood , swaying a little and his eyes completely drowsy. He was struggling to stand on his feet and she immediately smelt the strong scent of alcohol.

"Karan....what the hell you are sloshed...." She held his shoulder as he stumbled on his feet.

"Can i come in?" He asked as he slurred with his words.

She sighed heavily. This guy is just too much.

She held his shoulder and helped him walk till the bed. As he dropped on the bed , she looked at him angrily.

"What do you think of yourself huh?how old are you?you think doing this will help you?this is how you deal with things?" She cane back after locking the door and screamed at him.

"Not now please...." He looked at her and gulped his saliva. His eyes were red and tears were threatening to fall.

"Karan what...." She stopped knowing what to say and sighed in helplessness. "Karan what do you want?please tell me clearly....why are you doing this to yourself....what am i to you?a rebound?i don't know....are you trying to forget her by being with me...."

"Shut up....just shut up...." He shouted angrily and stood up and stumbled a bit.

"Karan don't...." She held him immediately and he pulled her to himself roughly by holding her upper arm.

"I am over her....she is a nobody to me get that?i was taking her name because i get flashes of the breakfast buffet where you two were talking....i feel she will tell you things about me and you will end up going away...." He moved back and sat on the bed. "Which you anyway are...." He said in a choked voice.

"Huh?" She was taken aback with whatever he said.

"So please shut up for sometime....for just one night....i swear i wouldn't have come here but it is getting so difficult to be alone there...." He covered his face and cried. "I tried....i know i should stay away from you because....because you will never trust me....and i will always keep expecting things from you unconditionally which is wrong...." He looked removed his palm from his face and looked at her.

He looked as if a storm has gone passed him. His hair was a mess. His nose and cheeks were red. His eyes and cheeks were covered in tears.

"I will....i will try to stay away i promise you...." He said restlessly. "Aaj nahi ho raha hai....please....stay with me....please...."

He pulled her to himself and hugged her waist buring his face into her stomach. He sat at the edge of the bed hugging her as she stood in front of him caressing his hair.

Why are you like this Karan?

Teja closed her eyes and let the tears fall.

"You need to sleep Karan...." She whispered and he looked up at her.

"You will stay here with me right?" He asked hopefully and sniffed his nose. From his voice it was clear that his nose had blocked because of the cries.

"Yes....sleep first...." She made her lay down and he kept holding her hand till the time she laid down beside him.

He took her hand and kept her palm on his face and slept peacefully.

She kept looking at the ceiling.

I understand that I judged you when you took her name. But any sane person would have done the same. You could have told me once Karan. Told me everything once and i would have apologized to you. But you did not. You chose to walk away. You chose to put things to an end. You didn't even bother to talk to me once when you saw me away from you. You knew how much i was hurting. You could have easily told me the truth and fought with me but no. I know you are hurting. You are messed up. But this time i cannot let myself go to you. Or else this will become a pattern. You have to learn to convey when you are hurt. You need to communicate about what you dislike and what bothers you. You cannot expect to go and hurt yourself jist because you want my attention or you expect me to go and console you. You need to speak. You need to tell me that you want me. Equally , like the way i want you. You cannot go on saying you will go away and then be hurt and expect me to come to you seeing you hurt. You have to learn to speak.
