I know you won't talk to me now. But let me tell you he purposely wants you to stay away from him so that he doesn't end up hurting you. It's a long story. Baad mein bataunga. Abhi ke liye itna hi process kar.

Wahi sent her a text and Karan felt the phone in his pocket vibrate. He took out the phone and thought it was his and pressed the unlock key but the face ID was not matched. The screen lit up and on the lock screen there was his message.

He looked at Wahi who was making some jokes with a crew mate. Karan got up and went to him.

"Excuse us...." He held Wahi's shoulder and told the crew mate and went aside. "Saale tu bada kameena hai yaar....delete kar message...." He said sternly.

"Kaunsa message?" He asked confused.

He showed the phone to him.

"Her phone is with me...." He said rolling his eyes.

"Ajeeb log hai yaar....baat nahi karenge but phone deke rakhenge ek dusre ko...." He muttered under his breath.

"Delete that right now...." Karan warned him.

"No....enough of following orders....i am done...." He said grumpily and went away.

"Arrey yaar...." He sighed and looked around.

The night was just not ending and he just wanted it to end. He was already having a headache. He spotted Teja at a distance sitting on the deck. He walked over to her and sat beside her.

She gave a warm smile.

"My phone?" She kept her palm in front of him.

He shook his head internally. Now she will read the message. Although she won't know that he has seen it. Good for him. He can actually read her reaction.

He took her phone out from his pocket and gave it to her.

She unlocked it and went through it.

He watched her face carefully. It didn't change even for a second. He was sure that she would have read it.

"Aren't you sleepy?" She kept her phone on her lap and yawned.

How is she being so casual?

"Not really....took an afternoon nap...." He said still looking at her.

She had read the message but she knew he was just trying to set them up. Even if Karan had told anything to wahi , she knew wahi would twist it around in a way so that it sounded comforting to her.

"I am really sleepy...." She yawned again.

He held her head and placed it on his shoulder.

"Take a nap...." He said softly.

She sat straight politely with a smile not showing anything weird through her behavior.

"Nahi i am good...." She chuckled.

So you are going to be away from me now?

"Teja i...." Before he could continue any further she cut him off.

"Don't say sorry....i know wahi must have told you something....please don't take him seriously....he just wants to set us up...." She chuckled.

He nodded.

"See i won't deny that i am fond of you....you are a good person....good to talk to....and we have vibed really well....i will definitely don't want this friendship to break....just ignore what the others are trying to do...." She chuckled. "You don't have to say sorry because you have done nothing wrong....and neither do you have to listen to them....they don't know our equation....they see us from afar and assume things....like for example they are seeing us sitting here and talking so they are assuming things....they are not really thinking what we are talking...."

She laughed heartily.

He immediately smiled softly hearing the sound of her laughter.

And then finally soaked in what she had said.

"Even i am fond of you....tu bohut endearing hai...." He said softly.

"I know...." She said with a sweet smile.

He held her hand and looked ahead.

"So kal France?excited?" She asked excitedly and slipped her hand away from his grip.

He smiled a bit noticing what she did.

"Excited?" She asked again not getting any response.

"Yeah yeah...." He said sweetly.

"I will crash for sometime in the morning and then pack and evening flight....so much work yaar...." She whined like a kid.

He just gave a small smile.

"You toh have OCD....you must be good in packing and stuffs?" She asked looking at him.

"Yeah...." He smiled.

Have i lost the friend in you as well?you seem like a stranger Teja. All of a sudden.

"What happened?you seem lost?" She asked with concern.

"Why are you behaving like this?" He asked coming directly to the point.

"How am i behaving?infact even you are behaving weird...." She frowned.

"You are not being the Teja i know...." He said trying to be as calm as possible.

"You don't know me at all...." She said looking into his eyes.

"I know...."

"No you don't....honestly you don't even know yourself....you have no idea what you want....you have no control over your mind and heart....you just do what you impulse tells you at that moment....that is why you keep changing your thoughts in your mind...." She said seriously.

"Teja I...." He started nut stopped seeing her glare at him.

"No you listen to me first....you are very well aware of certain things....yet you want to stay ignorant and play this all-is-cool game and even expect me to be all cool....i am telling you we will be friends and nothing will change that....you will have me forever....i promise you and i know you will be there for me too...." She stopped to take a deep breath. "But there are certain things which we meed to maintain....a line....which is there....a line which should be there and we cannot pretend like it doesn't exist...."

She got up and went to the girls.

The sun was rising in the horizon where the sea met the sky and he looked at the rising sun sighing.
