summer, 2017
"dorio!" jisung called enthusiastically as he saw the orange tabby again. "you came back."
he diverts his gaze to the empty food bowl behind the creature and chuckles. "so you did eat it."
he decided to temporarily park his bike outside their house, still stocked with the groceries he bought.
he looks at the feline with fondness in his eyes. a couple of visits from the cat and he began to treat it as his own. "say, dorio, you must have an owner. what if they're looking for you already?"
the tabby stared at him, and then he proceeded to mouth a little sound. "meow."
"cats are adorable," he smiled, the one that reaches up to his eyes.
dorio starts walking away from him, leaving the boy confused. "where are you going?"
jisung looks around and finds the orange tabby walking towards another boy. dorio leans into his touch as he pets the tabby.
this boy was the same boy at the party, the one who asked him about the pendant. jisung was sure it was him. he kept seeing the stranger anywhere that he's not sure he should call him one at this point. though, he's never seen him here before until very recently, maybe he just moved in? that is very likely.
he observes the tabby as the stranger carries it gently with him. he saw a shift in dorio's expressions, like he was used to it.
"he likes you a lot," jisung muttered.
the other turns at his direction in silence.
"dorio, i mean." jisung tried to explain himself. "the cat that you're holding right now."
he saw him smile. "i know."
"you must be someone he knows. he's very fond of you," he said.
"yes. it seems like he likes you, too," the other implied.
"he was sitting here a few days ago, exactly at this place. that's where i first saw him." jisung told him. "he comes here almost every day now."
"i see," he replied. "he's quite the selective fellow, it's rare to see him like someone very much."
"that's nice." suddenly, he ran out of words to speak and conversations to save the creeping silence.
the brunet started walking forward and stopped when there was a five feet distance between them. the latter then reaches out a hand to him. "minho."
jisung looks at the fellow, dumbfounded almost. where has he heard that name before?
there was a pause in the atmosphere. then, the boy named minho awkwardly coughed to avoid the silence. "and you are?"
he blinked. "sorry," the boy apologized after spacing out. "han jisung."
"thank you for taking care of my cat."
he stifled a smile. "no problem."
