"So, how're the preparations going?"
"They're well."
I replied while munching on my forever iconic chocolate cake.
"Better be. Aur haan beta, don't forget the gift for Abhi okay? I have kept it in the bag already." Was the reply I got from Aasha Mami. I nodded to assure her that I won't forget the gift. Because if I did, the consequences will be me forgetting my name.
"Oh and one more thing, mind telling me kal itni raat ko kaha gaya tha tu? I saw you sneaking in the home all wet at 1:00 pm?"
"Nothing Mami, just went for a night walk." I said remembering my yesterday's encounter with that girl.
"Atleast learn how to use an umbrella, kitna careless ho gaya hai." Said Aasha Mami.
I heard Smriti chuckle. "Aur kya mumma, he is careless from the day he was born." She said taking a big bite of cake on her spoon.
I mocked her and earned a scolding from her for doing that.
She is Aasha Mami's daughter. And unfortunately, a stupid silly sister of mine. Remember, the one I was talking about yesterday?
"Aur Ashu, teri flight kab ki hai?"
"Mami, it's so unfortunate to have all the jets unavailable. Like, some of them are getting cleaned, some are in use, and blah blah. What did you ask though? Right. It's at 11:20 today and- "
"11:20?! Then rush Ashu! It's 10:40 already!" Aasha Mami said cutting my words in between.
I stuffed the last bite of cake in my mouth, hurriedly went to Mami and kissed her cheeks, after that gave a fist bump to Smriti. Then holding one strap of my bag on my right shoulder I ran outside the gate where my car was parked.
"Bye Ashu!" Said Mami.
"Bye Mami!"
"Bye Dooms!" This bitch.

"So you're telling me there isn't any gift for me."
"Yup." Replied dada while driving us home.
"Even after I gave a gift to you? That's not fair!" I said whining from the backseat.
"That was not your gift Ashu. That was from Aasha Mami."
"He's just kidding Siddie. Mom has a gift for you at home, alright?"
Said Vaishu di from the front passenger seat. She's the only one who'd always team up with me.
"And by the way Sid, didn't you arrive like later than what you said on the call?" Vaishu di asked.
"Vo actually di my flight was delayed yesterday, and hence I came today." I said continuing to scroll on my Instagram. Di nodded at my answer.
It's about 9:00 am right now and we're in Dada's car. They just picked me up from the airport.
It was all silent until dada once again opened his mouth, "Aur bhai chote, you didn't get a girlfriend right? I know you didn't. Nobody would like to be in a relationship with someone who didn't yet finish the 7th episode of Peppa Pig!" He said laughing.
"Vaishu di, please teach my dada how to behave!"
"Oye, I was just kidding alright? What an idiotic brother." He said making a face.
"Don't call my baby idiotic Abhi!"
"Blah blah. You want me to call an intelligent person idiotic, then?"
